Re: Today's Ratings
Thought DJ looked useful when he came on, least the ball stuck with him.
TJ also looked ok when he came on, so 4 for them seems harsh.
Abdulai looked anonymous today. Galbraith was roasted at rb in the first half, so a 6 seems generous. That’s why Ritchie bought TJ on at h/t.
Prats does well to get a 5

Re: Today's Ratings
James was so much better a RB than Galbraith who is not a natural RB and was given the runaround by Olafoe.
Of course I understand that RW wants to keep Galbraith in the team while Donley has done so well in his old position, but it should not be at the expense of leaving out James.

Re: Today's Ratings
James was better defensively but partly because they put 11 behind the ball second half. He was so wasteful trying to do the perfect long ball or chip into the box.

TJ came on because we were so flat in midfield and had to get some energy in there. Prat’s or Brown or both could have come off at HT to be fair.

Re: Today's Ratings
Agreed. Galbraith got in the middle couple times end of first half and showed what he could offer. Was glad to see him moved there for the second. Was pretty lacklustre. But somehow down to the bare bones again aren’t we.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 7:22 pmNah mate.PKM wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 6:08 pm Thought DJ looked useful when he came on, least the ball stuck with him.

Perkins has the look of a schoolboy who has just dropped his bag and taken his tie off to join in with the game. For good and bad reasons.

Re: Today's Ratings
Scapegoat is Perkins in my opinion. He was no worse than most of the others but was the only one that was ridiculed (at least in the TJS Stand by quite a few of the fans sitting behind me).B.whitehouse+10more wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 6:14 pm Cooper 5 at least was not the worst, still we need a scapegoat don’t we

Re: Today's Ratings
At the beginning of the season, I thought there was nothing between our 4 CB's, but now I have no doubt that Beckles and Simpson are the two that pushed on since that time.

As a defender, Cooper was awful. Never looked in control and was a liability.B.whitehouse+10more wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 6:14 pm Cooper 5 at least was not the worst, still we need a scapegoat don’t we

Beckles head and shoulders above the others.RBMarshall wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 8:02 pm At the beginning of the season, I thought there was nothing between our 4 CB's, but now I have no doubt that Beckles and Simpson are the two that pushed on since that time.
Happe and Simpson not much to choose between them.
Cooper playing himself into 4th spot. He’s always been the weakest on the ball but you knew what you’d get from him defensively. Not playing regularly appears to have put him back, hopefully he can play himself back into form.

Re: Today's Ratings
Beckles and Pratley are the two most underrated in the team for all sorts of reasons, Beckles is a massive miss, he gets lots of stick but is a good League One defender, size, strength, leadership

Re: Today's Ratings
We made them look good in the first half but I thought we were all over them in the second . Just couldn't find a way through although we had a clear handball not given .soloman wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 9:26 pmAn honest assessment of our team today . Re: Today's Ratings
My biggest concern is that when Donley has a poor game as he did on Saturday, the team are lacking in midfield and hence the front players get no decent service. As Donley is only on loan, this does not bode well. Pratley just kicked the ball forwards and every pass from Brown was cut out. We desperately need a midfielder who can pass the ball for when Donley has off days.

Re: Today's Ratings
Cooper was so bad he even missed pulling back someone. The only bit of the game he looked remotely effective was when we stuck him up top for the last 15.B.whitehouse+10more wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 6:14 pm Cooper 5 at least was not the worst, still we need a scapegoat don’t we
Pratley must have got his Mark for previous performances as today was by far the worst ive seen of his in an O's shirt.

Yes having looked at him again he did look like a fish out of water let’s hope he can improve with some minutes under his beltJimbO wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 4:01 pmCooper was so bad he even missed pulling back someone.
