A big lump up top ..
Unbelievably brilliant run/performances
the O’s are on and long may it continue..
But I can’t help but think that we could
finish the opponent’s off easier and quicker
with the big lump in the middle..
Probably made my mind up in first 20 mins
Yesterday that Dilan was probably the best
winger I’ve seen at the O’s since Alan
Comfort creating so much and putting some
decent crosses in ..
Alas unfortunately with very little personnel
in the box the opportunity was wasted with
very little threat ..
A Cooper, Mayo or Shinners would have a field
day with Dilan’s kind of crosses I even feel
a Michael Marks or Steve McCormack could get
on the end of his crosses, we’re creating the
changes we just need the big lump to put
the chances away …

First of all, its too soon to rate Dilan the best winger since Alan Comfort.......you forgotten about Paul Smyth?
Second, We dont need a "big lump".........its not the way Richie plays, a skilful ball playing centre forward would be what we need

I would have Harry Smith back in a heartbeat. You can’t beat a big man putting his noggin in where it hurts.

Re: A big lump up top ..
This post is just laughable, seriously you really want a ‘big lump up top’

We are on an amazing run, the team, formation and style of play has got us to 7th in the table and we look like a very good L1 team pushing for Championship.
Why would you want RW to change his tactics and put a big lump up top
Yes we still need a No.9, to alternate with Kelman, but not a big lump up top
Piggot was/is a big lump, so do you really want him or similar in the team again…

Calm down Stan... speaking for myself, I am just saying I would like a big lump player in our squad when we need to change things. IStan1972 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 5:49 pm This post is just laughable, seriously you really want a ‘big lump up top’

Re: A big lump up top ..
We have an outstanding group of gifted footballers. Galbraith, Donley, Currie, Markandy, Abdulai are so talented. Look at Saturday, Reading couldn’t live with their movement and passing.
We have an amazing hard working group of players. Galbraith, Kelman, Brown cover so much ground, pressing the opposition and turning the ball over.
And some people want a ‘big lump’ up top? Mind-bottling.

Re: A big lump up top ..
Stanley, you're making a drama out of nothing, no doubt for effect. You sound sensible enough and you should know that I am not saying, let's change it all around and get a big centre forward in to replace the present set up. Because that's what you're inferring.
