If Happe isn't fit and Simpson hasn't recovered from his knock on Tuesday, he could well be in the matchday squad tomorrow.

I expect James, Sweeney and Brown would all be used at CB before this lad.

And pratley. Clare. Ball.

Literally no way he’s coming back to play. Either they’ve binned him off or he’s going up a step.

Whilst young, Chiendu has had three months of mens football, and is far more an appropriate substitute than the three 16 years olds we were left with against Derby. Chiendu has already been a substitute last season. With Happe and Simpson potentially injured, Chiendu is the best genuine centre half we have left after Beckles and Cooper. I expect if the worst happens, as suggested other players from other positions will cover ahead of Chiendu. We are down to bare bones all over the pitch, and it makes sense to at least have Chiendu as an option rather than out on loan.

Holy sh*t, you're right. We only had the starting 11 plus 5 real subs on Tuesday. We've now lost Clare to suspension, if we add Markandy to the squad we'll have to lose someone else, and there were countless likely injuries from Tuesday night. He's definitely come back to sit on our bench.

Is Clare suspended for today or the 4th Round match? I don't know what the rules are on red card suspensions.
