Interesting to see that Bonne has failed to score in 18 games for Southend too. He really has fallen from grace.
Was told the he is no longer in the same crowd as he was when he was with us.
The way his career has gone, seems that it's the wrong crowd.
Pretty sure he has chronic tendinitis and this is what restricts Moncs - its not his basic fitness levels
I will always believe getting covid pretty badly is what's finished his fitness .
One of my workmates caught covid which turned into long covid . He was off work for months . He told me it affected his lungs and left him feeling drained of energy . It could have affected George in the same way . Obviously having a weight issue didn't help him either .

Only 878 minutes for Bonne in those 18 games.
That’s still quite a long time to not score. It’s almost 10 games if you tally it up!

That's a result he's not coming back here though, keeps at least a small chunk of his wages off the books. So much talent but just not the commitment to get his fitness levels at League 1 or even League 2 standard

Though to counter that Richie was quite happy to manage Smyth's games in relation to his injury issues so doubt that would be any different for Moncur.
What we did get were soundbites saying George wasn't at the level required suggesting he wasn't putting the work rate in.
Now it is official. Loan to the end of the season.
Still a loan though, hopefully they are paying a percentage of his wage so we can bring it some more cover up front.
Of course they'll be paying a percentage of his wage, they won't be getting him for nowt. Trouble is, that percentage is unlikely to be any more (and could well be less) than what Southend have been paying, so it's difficult to see how this improves our financial position.
Hope George does well, Ebbsfleet certainly need some quality as they’ve only won twice this season and are rooted bottom of the National League well adrift of safety.
Mental, his downfall in the last 18 months or so, his legs have gone, his fitness is non-existent, can't last 60 minutes let alone 90, the fact he can't make it at Southend! How Ebbsfleet are affording his wages is anyone's guess

I agree . if I was George at the end of the season I would call it a day and retire .
