Re: Josh Koroma
His career is drifting again, just as he’s supposed to be coming into his peak.
Was a bit surprised he didn’t get more of a reception, or acknowledge us. How many times does someone who won a title with Orient come back to play here with the opposition? And he owes almost his entire career to JE turning it around for him here.

Yes and it’s also true to say that it was a clean tackle and never a penalty. But that doesn’t make him a diver.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:54 am There was significant contact and he was through on goal.

Significant? That contact wouldn't have knocked a toddler of it's feetLong slender neck wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:54 am There was significant contact and he was through on goal.

Re: Josh Koroma
He dived.
The ball was on his wrong side, he went across Omar to try and win a pen and get him sent off. There was no contact and he went down.
You don’t do that against your former club. Dirty little cheat.

Re: Josh Koroma
12 games 4 goals, 1 assist, goal every 200 minutes isn't bad to be fair, he is a League One player in reality and that's where he is

Re: Josh Koroma
And for the goal against - was it Halifax, I can't remember? - where we had gone 2-0 down just before half-time and he then runs more than half the length of the pitch and scores with a sweet strike from just inside their box. I think we finished up with a 2-2 draw. Or did we win? Who remembers.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:31 am Always to be remembered for the number he did on George Porter...
Also for the hat-trick against Newport, even though it didn't stop us being relegated.

Re: Josh Koroma
While we're at it - his first goal against Fylde in the 3-1 win up there was truly electrifying. It helped that was right in line with his run and shot (a bit like having the perfect view for the "pen" he won last night.

Although he's spent most of his time since leaving us in the Championship.essexfootball wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:24 am 12 games 4 goals, 1 assist, goal every 200 minutes isn't bad to be fair, he is a League One player in reality and that's where he is

Re: Josh Koroma
Yeah the pen last night was iffy, he lost control of the ball and flung himself to the ground. But that is what nearly every forward would do so meh.
And he was a major part of our title winning team, so will always like him

He was out with a back injury all of October.essexfootball wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 10:24 am 12 games 4 goals, 1 assist, goal every 200 minutes isn't bad to be fair, he is a League One player in reality and that's where he is
I watched the game on Sky and like everyone else thought there was little or no contact. However when watching several of the replays, there was sufficient contact for it to be a penalty and when shown in slow motion you can actually see Beckles take his standing leg. It was a clumsy challenge.

Re: Josh Koroma
A big mouth in the posh seats West Stand last night started shouting about Josh Koroma being a w*nker after the penalty award. He was then severely reprimanded by another fan who objected to this. That fan said he had known Josh since he was a kid and there’s no way he should receive that level of puerile abuse from an Os supporter.
I was pleased to see that person and a good many others reprimand the old fool who was being abusive. To his credit the abuser went over and apologised to the person who had taken umbrage with his behaviour.
Josh Koroma was one of our own and certainly never let the club down at any time he wore the Os shirt. In fact his Twitter (X) handle still has a picture of Justin Edinburgh in it. I personally wish him well but I do think he’s a type of player who needs to be nurtured by a good manager. Hence he was superb under Justin and also had his best form at Huddersfield when Warnock was in charge. Football is a confidence game and I certainly hope Koroma will fulfill his potential.

Re: Josh Koroma
You absolutely do if you're of the winning mindset. His time with us is done, he owes us nothing and I'd be wanting any of our players to also do whatever it takes to win, fair or foul.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 9:51 am He dived.

Re: Josh Koroma
He looked off after the pen was awarded. I knew his head wasn't right and would fluff it. There were a few apologetic glances into the North Stand after this whilst lining up for a corner and again when he was subbed shortly after, he looked subdued as he half heartedly clapped.
He knows what he did. And I think he regrets it.
