X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
I've had an X account for years, but lately it's seems to be taken over by far right Brexit loving, flag shagging, anti woke, racist types, and many people seem to be leaving & joining the newer Bluesky.
Anyone here post in Bluesky ?
What's it like there?
I'm happy enough to argue with these nazi types, but they always get aggressive & offensive. They can't argue in a civil way, so I might go over to Bluesky, if it's ok
Any info would be appreciated
Thanks

Re: X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
Know a few people who are migrating but I just can't be bothered, I'm trying to reduce the time spent online/on my phone so no point leaving somewhere and going straight to another platform.

Re: X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
I moved to Bluesky earlier this week as X is a shitole. Bluesky is kinder, gentler and they provide lists of bots and racists you can block in bulk.
My first post was to Irvine Welsh when he joined this week and it read "Welcome Bawbag"

Re: X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
Is it full of people moaning that rich rocket man ruined their echo chamber?
Re: X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
There's a growing list of people/individuals who have left or flounced off X/Twitter, let's hope they find happiness and peace on BlueSky.
Apart from The Guardian my favourite is The Clifton Suspension Bridge.
On the other hand it's good to see the likes of Disney, IBM and Comcast resuming their ad spending on X after the election - who said big business doesn't have princples.

It’s not compulsory to have a twitter account.

Re: X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
I've migrated to Bluesky because I am finding Twitter to be a cesspit of the highest order. However, I've kept the Twitter account because I love to see the odd bit of weird complaining from Richard Keys on there. As poor a reason to keep something as there has ever been.

Fun fact: turns out it's childish to vote with your feet when a platform gets taken over by AI bots and Nazis.essexfootball wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 3:44 pm Pure childish behaviour moving over as the owner has different views, grow up

Re: X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
Absolutely it is but it's not for insulting people because they have different views from others (as long as they are not TOO taboo).

Re: X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
LOL. Bluesky. How long do we give it before they form further divides over there and start reporting each other?

Re: X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
I only ever use x for a bit of fantasy content, so that all I ever see on it. If you just use the following view doesn't it remove any problems with unwanted content?

Re: X (Twitter) v Bluesky ?
Exactly . It will stay a woke left wing echo chamber for a while and then divisions will start .
