We were the best team out there for most of the game. They woke up in the last 30 and made a game of it but we aren't scoring enough goals. I want to watch the highlights before making any comment on the missed chances but it's a problem if any forward needs to put away every chance we get. It indicates we're just not making enough chances. Several times today I felt someone should have a shot but we're overworking the ball in front of goal. Have a flaming shot occasionally....
Indeed, would've miscontrolled the ball and / or tried to bundle through 4 players instead
So how come he was our top goal scorer last season ?
And a regular goal scorer the season before and the season before that ?
Just because we didn't have anyone better doesn't make him any good. I never rated him, although he'd score the occasional belter. He couldn't beat a man to save his life.

Ruel subbed today - has he scored a L1 goal yet?
No
Wrong !
Ruel missed the first few games for Rovers due to injury and is getting his fitness back now. He has scored 1 goal and had a couple of assists including an assist for the one goal Rovers scored today. Meanwhile ex Os loan player Forde who Rovers brought from Watford has yet to make an impact for Rovers

You dont pick the team, Richie does and did when Ruel was here and he rated him and like him or not he was our top goal scorer last season and was I think just behind Smythe and Moncur the season before when we got promoted. Richie did not want him to leave the club.

A well earned point today against one of the best sides in League One . I'm very pleased with that and with the performance. In fact I thought we were the better side until about the last twenty minutes when they started putting us under some pressure . The only down side about today was the injuries to Sean Clare and Brandon Cooper . I would say both look virtually certain to miss the next couple of games .
Only in a few games and already getting down to bare bones.

Bare bones???
Our bench had Brown, ONeill, Graham and Agyei on it today (plus Pratley and Warrington).

How many players do you expect us to have in the squad for gods sake !!
and if Happe Clare and Cooper are missing next game 3 of those names above will be in the first 11 and 3 more to be found to fill the subs bench plus we have 4 centre halves and of those 4 , well only two of them will be fit.

Was a good performance today. Wellens got the team + formation spot on given the fact that Wrexham are very strong on the counter attack and that we let two soft goals in on Tuesday on the break away. Agree with others though that we could do with getting more goals when we are on top. If we get that part right aswell then no reason we can’t move up the table and be in the playoff mix this season.

We have good depth at CB, there's 4 players all of which are senior pros and you can make multiple solid pairings, we'll be OK there.
A shame that Clare got injured as it gives Brown an immediate route back in, was hoping to see more of the Clare / Ball / Galbraith combo. Hopefully not too serious for Clare as his stint in midfield has been the catalyst for turnaround in results.
Positions we're living on the edge is LB and ST. Lose Currie and we're back to getting opened up time and again as Sweeney isn't L1 standard imo and we all know there's nothing up top if Agyei is out.

Yes we have 4 centre backs but Happe and Cooper are now injured and of those two, Happe when injured seems to take a long time on average to get ready to play again. Kelman is a hard working forward but not the regular goalscorer we need and Dan has not hit form yet upfront. Perkins is way off being a first team forward. Lack of cutting edge goal scorers means a lot of pressure on the midfield and defence this season. Even the bright hope of last season, O'Neill has not turned up for the party yet, let us hope hope he will not turn out to be a half season wonder ?
RW disappointed by our subs today
Thought Graham was very poor, expect better from him.
Simpson looked good today.
Good to see Hemming getting those crosses safely.
Overall thought we played better against Posh.
Only in a few games and already getting down to bare bones.

Do you want us to carry 6 CBs?
Obeiro, Perkins, Sweeney, and others aren’t even in the squad. We are fine atm depth wise

He was doing his nut at Graham. He came on and looked like he was meant to play wing back and got instant caught out. Ageyi didn’t look interested and I thought the gap was noticeable when Brown came on which is disappointing. He looked sluggish

Give over. Brown came on for Clare and we carried on exactly as we were. If anything, we were even more dominant for the first 15 mins of the second half.
Agyei up top on his own is not an option. He can’t press 2 cebtre halves on his own like Kelman can.

Thought brown was spot on. We actually improved our performance start of the second half until the changes on 60 minutes.

Correct , Sweeney isn't League One standard . I watched Jack Currie for the first time this afternoon and was very impressed . He's streets ahead of Sweeney .

Unbeaten run continues, a good point against the leaders but --- 'so near' Kelman should have scored and that early goal might have made for a very different game. Well done O's you're a good side.
Yes, Kelman should have tucked that chance away. Bad miss. It was a strikers dream opening on goal.
A blind man could have scored that, he has to go. We played them off the park until we had to make changes. We lost our continuity. Spot on by Wellens with his formation. Wrexham will be lucky to be top six, if they are so sill we. Don’t care how much work Kelman puts in his finishing is shocking and the keeper still worries me.
Kelman should have hit the target yesterday but had scored twice in the previous three league games and added one assist. Wellens prefers him to Dan A because his work rate is far greater and overall he contributes more. Kelman is.more of a Wellens type team player. Dan A constantly got caught on the ball yesterday when he came on his link up play was non existent.
You slag off Kelman at every opportunity still while you are on at him you are leaving other people alone. 4 unbeaten and playing good football we are on the up and you still moan.
