Isn't that what's supposed to happen with Football?Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2024 4:12 pmYes. Season ticket or not I’m passing on Saturday. If Howes isn't seemed a better option than Hemming on current form we need to be getting shot of both. Replace with one senior pro and recall Byrne / Phillips as the backup, can't be any worse

The errors are one thing, it’s the fact he’s a hoofball merchant who looks like he’s panicking on the ball when it’s at his feet which doesn’t fit the team.
He’s been playing in the Scottish Pub League though so this was entirely predictable

Re: Zach Hemming vs Bolton, Newport and Brum
Howlers doesn’t suddenly become a league 1 standard keeper because the inexperienced kid bought in on loan is an absolute calamity.
I tell you what if the clubs solution to the Hemmings gaffe is to replace him with Howlers (who is a conference standard GK at best) then that tells you all you need to know about the actual ambitions of those at the top.
Vigs left and was replaced by a loanee who happened to be ok but was certainly a step down.
Brynn been replaced by another loanee who is abysmal. And the solution to this is what? Stick Howlers in goal?
So in the space of two seasons we will have gone from a Championship standard GK to one who should be playing in the conference.

If Reverend calls Howes 'howlers' what the hell does he call Hemming?

Exactly . Howes is better because Hemming is bloody awful . How sh*t does Hemming's has to be before the club does something about it .

Re: Zach Hemming vs Bolton, Newport and Brum
As I said in another thread poor recruitment and lazy scouting I feel is the issue. 2 seasons and we have had to rely on 2 loanees???? Our existing keepers can’t get a look in?? Why?
There is just no way that there has not been a better choice out there in 2 years that would not want to come to our club.
Stand by my opinion of cheapest option and lazy scouting.

Re: Zach Hemming vs Bolton, Newport and Brum
Toughest start to season in L1
Bolton H
Charlton A
Birmingham H
Some fans expected 0,1 or 3 points, and possibly 4
We should be sitting in top 6 with an impressive 6 or 7 points.
We have more than held our own v 3 supposedly Top L1 teams.
But the lack of ambition by the club, in putting a bargain basement loan GK who has been playing pub football in Scotland in goal for us in L1, means we sit with 0 points, and all because the excuse of a GK has cost us 4 goals with 4 errors.
LOFC need to do the right thing and get a New GK in before end of transfer window.

Spot on . If Howes doesn't get his chance now it's a waste of time him being at Orient

I agree . After Shrewsbury we have Peterborough ,Stockport and Wrexham . Do we really want to keep Hemming in goal ?Stan1972 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 11:30 pm Toughest start to season in L1

Re: Zach Hemming vs Bolton, Newport and Brum
I can honestly and truthfully say, and I mean this, if Hemings is named in goal on Tues, I don’t think I can bring myself to watch the game.
That’s how strongly I feel, as I cannot enjoy the game even whe. We are attacking, as I am anxious and am worried every time the opposition attack, I am just waiting for a mistake/error and more importantly a goal.
The GK has zero confidence, and has been the weakest player in the pitch in every game he has played, and if he was an outfield player he would be nowhere near the 1st team.
If I was the GK I would be knocking on RW door asking to be dropped…

He’s had 4 shots to save all season and he’s conceded 6. Fuc off anyone who’s looking elsewhere for blame. We’ve only conceded 4 shots of note all season. Team looks good but we’ve got the ultimate turd in goal.

I can’t remember him having any shots to save yesterday and yet we conceded two goalsOrient Punxx wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 12:46 am He’s had 4 shots to save all season and he’s conceded 6. The back four looked shaky as well in that 1st half , probably due to having little confidence in the keeper
He must go now and if Howes isn’t deemed good enough to replace him then we need TWO keepers ASAP.
