Re: Israel
Who’d a thunk it! Mossad must be very busy making up nasty stories about the ICJ at the moment.
Re: Israel
Judgment of an alledgedly politically motivated UK crown court judge whose judgment I disagree with - disgraceful
Judgment of an alledgedly politically motivated ICJ whose judgment I agree with - fine by me

Rabid Zionist alert! You clearly have, or are pretending to have, the memory of a goldfish. Let me help.
When Hamas invaded Israel and killed and mutilated men, women and children they were condemned by all, including me. It was a terrible act of barbarism and a response from Israel was fully justified.
However, what Israel did, and is still doing, is a totally disproportionate act of destruction and genocide. They have destroyed the infrastructure of Gaza, they are killing men, women and children on a daily basis.
They are completing the job with famine and have made the work of Aid Agencies as difficult as possible.
You seemingly support all of this and describe critics of Israeli atrocities as “antisemitic”. What is wrong with you?
Still waiting to see the comments you said you had posted condemning Hamas, or are you just making things up again? Specific ones, not your usual trite ‘I condemn all violence and hatred’ while propagating that very thing.
Would be interesting to see too how many times you have condemned Russia as opposed to Israel, or is one form of ‘barbarism’ different from the other? I wonder what that difference that may be.

I see Nu New Labour, or the Red Tories,if you prefer, are going to drop their opposition to the ICC arrest warrants for the proponents of the organised genocide in Gaza and word is arms supplies will end too.
They need to hurry up before all of the Palestinians have been slaughtered.

Re: Israel
Really need those cowardly Hamas terrorists to now come out of their tunnels and surrender.
For the sake of the ordinary Gazan folk who have endured Hamas for over 18 years of not being allowed to vote them out of office (at least the UK managed to get rid of the Tories after a mere 14 years), Hamas terrorists need to immediately release all of their hostages back to their various nations (including the British hostages).
Hamas need to make way and end their rule of terror on the Gazan people by handing over to a civilian Gazan government living side by side in peace with the multi-ethnic peoples of the Holy Land (Christians, Jews, Muslims, Bedouins etc). Then we need any remaining Hamas terrorists to either get banged up via the judges at the Hague or binned off to Qatar/Iran where their rich rulers reside and where I am sure they would be welcomed. Meanwhile, without Hamas, the Gazan people would be able to prosper in a demilitarised and deradicalised Gaza.
Then we could finally get back to talking about Leyton Orient FC on this message board.

Re: Israel
Oh, Rich Tea Wellin, no need to be such an Eeyore!
I'm trying to look on the positive side here and imagine a bright future for an independent Gaza free of terrorist leaders, free of anti-Western ideology, free of anti-LBGTQ+ doctrine, free of hate, and full of peace. A Gaza that is fully demilitarised and at peace with its neighbours. Surely the very foundation for prosperity?
Gaza shares a border with Israel and Egypt - those two countries signed a peace treaty 45 years ago in 1979. That shows a precedent and an olive branch that is much needed in the region. As two previously warring sovereign nations on Gaza's doorstep can sign and (more or less) adhere to a peace treaty for 45 years then that shows a respectful and aspirational precedent.
Gaza also has a Mediterranean coastline. Could it one day become the new Ibiza? The new Zante? Why not? Maybe it could at least become the new Majorca when the local Spanish protestors have driven all the tourists away from that island, as looks likely right now...
The investment, aid and funds that have been sunk into Gaza since Hamas came to power 18 years ago would make most developing nations' eyes water. So much money has poured into Gaza over the years from the EU and the USA - even the permabanned CumOnYourNose wasn't aware of that factoid.
Also Gaza has had a little bit of odious subsidising by Iran, but obvs for nefarious purposes (Dunners can elaborate).
Imagine if all that EU and USA squillions had been spent by Gaza's male rulers on, say, a tourist industry to rival Dubai; rather than building an underground labyrinth of tunnels and stockpiling long-range missiles to fire at the Holy Land on a daily basis - endangering every nationality and religion (including Hamas' fellow Muslim folks) over the border.
A new civilian, deradicalised Gazan government could invest that well-meaning cash from the world's parliaments, companies and altruists into a burgeioning infrastucture of peace, and they could embrace tourists from all corners of the globe (even tourists who identify as LBGTQ+). It could be a success story in the Middle East, similar to the two historic countries that Gaza borders.
Can't be done, Rich Tea Wellins? I disagree. In 1945, at the end of the Second World War, Germany and eventually Japan surrendered unconditionally, demilitarised, deradicalised, and soon elected civilian governments. I believe that Japan is nowadays a pacifist society actually. In the late 1940s, the world (learning the leassons of what they neglected to do in 1918 after the end of the First World War) started to heavily invest in Germany and Japan's infrastructure and economies, and that lead to both nations' long-term economic success and fairly peaceful prosperity ever since... How many Rich Tea Wellins in 1945 said that would not happen "under any regime"?
I truly believe there can be a positive future for Gaza, and it starts with the surrender of the terrorist Hamas regime.

Re: Israel
You have said this many times on the board Max B Gold, yet you have no word on the peace that comes after the terrorists of Hamas have left the building/left the tunnels.
There is a hostage release and ceasefire deal being negotatiated right now, and I keep my fingers crossed for all the innocent people in the region that long-term proper peace and prosperity breaks out. It is actually possible for folks of all nationalities and religions to generally rub along together in real life, as proved over many years in the Holy Land by all colours and creeds.
So what could the future of a peaceful and welcoming Gaza actually look like?
And do you agree that Hamas, nor an armed militia, can play no part in the future of Gaza? From your writings on this board I am not sure but it looks to me like you support Hamas (as well as Orient of course).
