Re: Welcome our new keeper....
Another loan . I thought we wanted a keeper on a permanent basis. In the pecking order I assume he’s behind Sol Brynn

Thanks goodness for that. Was getting very worried about the lack of GK.

Sounds good to me. We have done some very good season loan deals recently, did you worry about El Miz only being on loan!RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 5:04 pm Another loan . I thought we wanted a keeper on a permanent basis. In the pecking order I assume he’s behind Sol Brynn
Be happy that we have a proven GK

Re: Welcome our new keeper....
Don’t think so he played in the team in a friendly the other day. He was highly rated at St Mirren think he played in around 46 games. I think he is going to be a good goalie.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 5:04 pm Another loan . I thought we wanted a keeper on a permanent basis. Rubbish he’s not a pub league goalie. Played around 46 games for St Mirren last year and they rated him.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 5:24 pm Pub league goalkeeper, imagine we might be looking for another loan in January

Hang on, I thought Howles was going to be our first choice?
Welcome the lad. Looks a good signing on paper.

Re: Welcome our new keeper....
That’s fair enough, and I’m not disappointed with this signing in fact I’m quite pleased it’s just that I thought we wanted a keeper on a permanent basis, that’s allWinchestorfan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 5:17 pmSounds good to me. Re: Welcome our new keeper....
I imagine having to pay a large chunk of Pigotts wages @ AFC Wimbledon and faced with the same scenario with Moncur if he goes this summer a loan from Boro was a cheaper option.

Re: Welcome our new keeper....
First choice keeper at a top half of the table spl club last season feels like a pretty decent track record. Two full seasons at a competitive level means he's experienced for a young keeper as well.
Solid if not particularly exciting recruitment so far. Squad almost there, cutting it a little finer than id like but first team more or less sorted now. Short of a full back, striker and possible no 10 but none of those would be immediate needs for the first team.
