Lewis Warrington SIGNS!
Leyton Orient are delighted to have secured the signing of highly-rated midfielder Lewis Warrington.
The 21-year-old joins the O’s on a two-year contract, having left Premier League club Everton earlier this summer.
Warrington, an energetic central midfielder, had spent 15 years with the Toffees and made his top-flight debut on the final day of the 2023/24 campaign.

Re: Lewis Warrington SIGNS!
No , I've never heard of him either . I'll need to speak with one of my work friends who's a keen Everton Supporter to get his option of him . However he sounds like a good signing and at only 21 he has time on his side to improve .

Re: Lewis Warrington SIGNS!
No idea who he is. Does have league experience through a couple of loans and is still young. I have a feeling it’s a decent signing but time will tell.

Re: Lewis Warrington SIGNS!
Fact that he got a loan to a championship club off the back of a season in league 1 bodes well, even if he didn't play at Plymouth.
That's mizouni's replacement sorted. Just the keeper, 2 full backs and a new no. 10 to go.

And Agyeis cover.
No idea what the lad is like but fits our system of developing young cast offs, plus has some experience already.
Midfield from him, Brown, Obeiro and Galbraith is mighty young - Prats experience will be needed.

Feel we needed a senior player in midfield, cant replace El Miz with a PL castoff.

El Miz was a 21 year League 1 cast off when he arrived.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:32 pm Feel we needed a senior player in midfield, cant replace El Miz with a PL castoff.

Agree, although technically El Miz is also a premier league castoffLong slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:32 pm Feel we needed a senior player in midfield, cant replace El Miz with a PL castoff.

Re: Lewis Warrington SIGNS!
Fair point, just dont see it as the right signing for a team that is serious about promotion.

League 1 cast off, if you want to be harsh.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:42 pmAgree, although technically El Miz is also a premier league castoffLong slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:32 pm Feel we needed a senior player in midfield, cant replace El Miz with a PL castoff.
I have no problem with this concept - both Galbraith and O'Neill have proven it can be a success. (Although as already mentioned, totally accept we are lacking in experience in the midfield areas). I guess decent L1 journeymen come at a higher price than an unproven 21 year old?

Re: Lewis Warrington SIGNS!
Feels like the sort of signing people often say we *should* make, so can't knock it. Young, PL graduate with a full season at this level.already under his belt. Optimistic.

Re: Lewis Warrington SIGNS!
Very true. RW will make him into another El Miz. Sooner have a 21 year old than a 30 year old who travels around for a final pay cheque. I think it is good business.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:40 pmEl Miz was a 21 year League 1 cast off when he arrived.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:32 pm Feel we needed a senior player in midfield, cant replace El Miz with a PL castoff.

Re: Lewis Warrington SIGNS!
Follows our new business plan...buy young, sell for good money. Certainly seems like a good player. Galbraith mark II perhaps?

L1 journeymen are also more likely to have knees that have either already been torn apart or are one knock away from imploding.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:55 pmLeague 1 cast off, if you want to be harsh.Rich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:42 pmAgree, although technically El Miz is also a premier league castoffLong slender neck wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:32 pm Feel we needed a senior player in midfield, cant replace El Miz with a PL castoff.

I thought the feeling on here was that we needed two CM. We've signed one so still need another one .Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 5:21 pm Fact that he got a loan to a championship club off the back of a season in league 1 bodes well, even if he didn't play at Plymouth.
That's mizouni's replacement sorted. Just the keeper, 2 full backs and a new no. 10 to go.

As if “the feeling on here” had any relevance to anything what so ever. It’s a dozen people regurgitating the same tripe over and over again in an increasingly unhinged manner.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 7:37 pmI thought the feeling on here was that we needed two CM.
