Re: Karma
Well I didn’t think so but she knocked on my door and I’ve never seen her before so she must be worried. The polls suggest it would be close if there’s lots of tactical voting. Can’t see it happening though.

Re: Karma
Truss would be good but if she isn't an MP that will afford her more time to write books and hawk herself round the crank right wing talking circuit, claiming The Deep State applied the death kinell to the economy, rather than her insane ideas.
Johnny Mercer losing would be funny because he'll absolutely take it very well.

Above all others the one I want to lose their seat is 30p Lee.
No idea what party he belongs to, doesn't seem to know himself either

Re: Karma
Too many possibilities to choose from, but Mercer's post-defeat breakdown would be worth a packet of biscuits or two.

Re: Karma
His wife's reaction would also probably be worth at least another couple of packets.

I'll slip into my paisley pyjamas and knock one out if that happens. (though possibly won't live stream it).

Re: Karma
In true Corbyn style, he has demonstrated his total lack of suitability for any leadership role. Through a combination of delaying his decision to stand as an independent and appointing a f*ckwitted campaign team, he will probably fall short. If he had acted earlier, he stood a good chance. Although, I know that there has been additional support piling into the constituency in the last few days to boost his campaign, so a surprise is still on the cards.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2024 3:08 pmWhat's the latest? Same with Faiza in Chingford. Be incredible if either/both of those can do the unthinkable.
I'm unsure about Faiza. She has a strong, vocal local group working for her, but there remains a strong contingent in her constituency who may have been persuaded to vote for a Labour candidate instead of IDS, but could be put off by her bleating on about Gaza. The parachuted candidate from Brent is more savvy and is careful about calibrating their comms to not offend possible swing voters, but in doing so leave the Labour faithful feeling cold. The vote may be split and allow IDS to get back in.
