Re: Reform Watch
Was surprised to see a lack of pushback the other day when the Reform guy who said we should have appeased Hitler also got stuck into Churchill and said he was useless (not surprised they glossed over the first bit, obvs). Thought that would have been a step too far.

Re: Reform Watch
Hardly going to get pushback from the left for saying things they broadly agree with.Proposition Joe wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2024 4:50 pm Was surprised to see a lack of pushback the other day when the Reform guy who said we should have appeased Hitler also got stuck into Churchill and said he was useless (not surprised they glossed over the first bit, obvs). Re: Reform Watch
Probably part of the reason Twitter has now made 'likes' private - paid for bots can make posts seem really popular without being unmasked as obvious fake accounts. Post some mad old sh*t, pay for 1000s of likes and suddenly your views look much more popular. Obviously tactics that anyone can use, but the right have shown themselves more adept at these things (plus Musk wouldn't be doing it if it was like to be utilised equally by the other side).Long slender neck wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 7:26 am https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1335nj316lo

Re: Reform Watch
I cannot see why Reform & Farage get so much coverage. They do abysmally at the Ballot box. I don't believe there has ever been a person standing as a Reform candidate that has ever been elected. These were the people that agitated for Brexit. Pundits say the Joe Public is incredibly disenchanted with Brexit & it's aftermath. Not lived up to it's promises. Fulfilled what Remoaners forecast: shortages, price rises, gaps in labour market ( especially in holiday resorts ), drug shortages, same levels of immigration, holiday travel problems & our next door neighbour is still France. I find it hard to envisage them getting one MP elected.

Re: Reform Watch
Our enemies are trying to cause chaos, same reason they are pro Trump, Hamas, Brexit.

Re: Reform Watch
Many Reform candidates have been found out to have posted historic abhorrent views. Not one has stepped down until now. It's in Kemi Badenoch's seat which has become a key target for tactical voting, how convenient. Looks like Farage has given them to nod to stand down. Look for several other stand downs in similar Tory seats whose candidate is to the right of the Tory party.

Raises a legal issue- candidates cannot stand down …The Mindsweep wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 6:55 pm Many Reform candidates have been found out to have posted historic abhorrent views. More attempts to get on the front page, whatever the cost?

Re: Reform Watch
As Farage positions himself as the man to “restore traditional British values” - whatever the hell they are - I’ve been seeing loads of Facebook ads with lovely “rose tinted glasses” looks at Britains glorious past. They’re really pushing the agenda.
