Sourcing support for your points…
Thought it’s worth doing this as a general point as when it’s about a specific it’s usually already too heated.
I just want to see whether anyone has any objection to any of these statements:
1: left and right wing media have obvious areas of bias, and obvious areas of over and under reporting some issues, depending on that bias
2: it’s not reasonable to dismiss an argument based on where one links to; a poor argument or bad data should not need “I don’t trust the outlet” as a way of addressing it.
3: when linking to sources broadly aligned with our own politics, it’s reasonable to be able to draw a distinction between deferring to an authority, editorialising, and strong arguments
Is there anything there to disagree with?

4: Viz. If all else fails, I just plunder the Viz back catalogue for most of my material.
But, no, nothing to disagree with there.

Also, I generally rely on none of you ever putting in the effort to trace where I've C&P'd my latest ramblings from.

I would never bother trying to verify anything nowadays so rely on my life experience, which is; Tory MP's, self serving horrible bastards, Labour MP's useless tossers. Lib Dems seem like nice enough people but a waste of a vote as will never win in my constituency. SNP some real dodgy characters among them, but as it's it's a straight race between them and the Tories in my constituency they get my vote

Yes. This isn't the Polytechnic of Leyton. It's a Div 3 football message board.CEB wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2024 4:58 pm Thought it’s worth doing this as a general point as when it’s about a specific it’s usually already too heated.

Very droll, but amounts to that you can’t be bothered to actually argue your points out honestly, which I think we all knew anyway.

Oks. I promise to try harder and to bring more academic rigour to a Third Division Association football clubs independent fans message board. After all these years you must be able to see why what you advocate is desirable but impossible. I used to care but it's a waste of time when in reality there are about a six Boarders willing to play to the "rules".

Re: Sourcing support for your points…
Can we not just all agree that CEB is 100% right on every topic he speaks about, every argument he makes is bullet proof, on every topic he wades in on he is the expert, and whatever debate he engages in he is by far the bestest at absolutely everything and anyone else who doesn’t agree with him is a big bad stupid head.
If we do this then maybe the tantrums will stop and the rest of us get to enjoy a Leyton Orient message board that isn’t constantly being taken over by one user starting threads to exacerbate petty feuds or to abuse moderators.

Only Rev could write a post like that based on an OP like mine.
I guess another video is due

Your op was the best op on the board. It’s the best op anyone has ever written. You are 100% right with every single word. This is the case for every post you’ve ever written or ever will write. You are the bestest most cleverest message boarder ever in the history of message boards. Everybody on this board is jealous of how bestest at message boarding you are.

Well I’m not as good as you. Obviously. Nobody is. You’re the bestest message boarder ever. You are right in every argument. Everybody else is much more stinky brains than you. Nothing you have ever posted, or ever will post, is wrong.
You’re the cleverest, brightest, most special boy in the whole wide web.

Re: Sourcing support for your points…
I forgot to add to the declaration that CEB is the bestest, brightest, cleverest, most special boy in the whole wide web who is never wrong, that in all circumstances he must be allowed to get the final word in. Because not only is he the bestest most cleverest and special boy in the whole wide web every nasty stinky brains who doesn’t agree with him is not only a silly stinky brains but they are inferior to him in multiple ways. They are not as cleverest as him and their lives outside of this board are not as good as his. Because he’s the bestest most specialist, never wrong, boy on the whole wide web and in real life too.
