Ex O's on the move

Post by Chelmsford Swimmer »

Probably others, but for starters the following ex O's have all been released at end of contract

Gary Hooper
Gavin Massey
George Ray
Harry Beautyman
John Marquis
Lee Angol
Liam Kelly
Luke Summerfield
Marvin Ekpiteta
Nigel Atangana
Otis Khan,
Scott Kashket
Shaq Coulthirst

All have seen better days IMHO. Wouldn't take any back other than Liam Kelly. Assuming El Miz doesn't come back, and Darren Pratley will have limited minutes, I think Liam is the experienced type of player we will need in the middle. That said I suspect he has higher aspirations and would be too expensive.

Gary Hopper played 4 times for us and scored twice. I thought longer than that. Funny how the memory plays tricks

I was surprised Gary Hooper was still playing, seems ages ago he played for us. Like McGleish did, he scores goals wherever he goes.
I wouldn't take any of those back, we've moved on too much since their L1 playing days.

Would take Liam Kelly back tbh. Probably on a fair whack and getting on a bit but be good to have someone like him in Midfield.

On the move - sounds like they are all taking syrup of figs. Jamie McCart transfer listed by Rotherham. Expect Bonne to be released.

I reckon Gavin Massey and Liam Kelly could still do a job . I wouldn't mind see either of them coming back

Not sure about this Liam Kelly, but Crawley had a player by the same name last week who totally ran the midfield in their demolition of MK Dons. We could do with taking a look at him IMHO, he looked very good.

Did the same today against Crewe. Unfortunately he.is under contract for Crawley for another season.

Genuinely amazed at the EFL career he's had after leaving us.

To be honest though Crewe didn't turn up . Crewe played even worse than Bolton did the day before . Anyway ,however Orsi is out of contract at the end of June . I don't know if he's a one season wonder but I wouldn't mind us trying to sign him .

Clickbait crap. Does not have the feet to play in a Wellens team and he's probably on a decent wage.

Agreed.

I'm sure he's an adequate defender but he was so, so bad on the ball in both games against us this season.
