Richard Tandy, ELO.
I was a member of the fan club at school before I discovered punk and new wave. I got badges, t shirts , mugs, transfer sets, newsletters and a comic.

Detective Amoral, who was in charge of the original investigation, believes Madeleine died in the apartment, probably accidentally, and that her parents either disposed of the body, or know who did hide the body.Currywurst and Chips wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2024 4:25 pmWhat do you think happened to her?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 9:36 am Today marks the 17th anniversary of the 'disappearance' of Madeleine McCann

He seemed a step up from Detective Apathetic, but just cos he looks busy, I’m not convinced he’s doing the right thing

It is Amaral, thanks
As an aside, he wrote a book about the Madeleine case, which Ive read. A very good read.
Kate and Gerry McCann took him to court over the book, and initially they won, and the book was banned, but eventually, on appeal, they lost, and the book became available again

So that's about as clear as what happened to the little girl. So much time has passed that it seems we will never get to the bottom of it. Personally I hope she reappears someday and she is unharmedComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 9:43 amIt is Amaral, thanks

Susan Backlinie has died aged 77. She was the skinny dipper who got eaten at the start of Jaws.

What a great film, Spielberg’s first foray into movies? It is like a Western transported to the ocean. Good on Capitalism vs Humanity. RIP Susan.

He directed two films before that; the brilliant Duel and The Sugarland Express.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 9:05 amWhat a great film, Spielberg’s first foray into movies? It is like a Western transported to the ocean. Good on Capitalism vs Humanity. RIP Susan.
But he also directed the very first episode of Columbo in 1971. Check out this opening tracking shot and sequence as a sign of what was to come:
