Season Ticket Deadline Extended
As predicted on here somewhere I think, the season ticket deadline has been extended to Friday 17th May.
Apparently the Ticket Office is having a heavy workload with the 5% discount being offered to fans who attended all 23 home league games this season.

Re: Season Ticket Deadline Extended
Real shitshow this. The 23-match discount can only have become available after Saturday, by which time many of us will have already paid for our new season tickets

Re: Season Ticket Deadline Extended
I believe the 23 match discount was available a week or so back (we've had 24 home games this season.....)

Good point. I was also confused that I’d got the email even though I was sure I’d missed one. Completely forgot we played Lincoln twice. Still sticking with the shitshow verdict though.

Re: Season Ticket Deadline Extended
The number of supporters attending all the matches has probably taken them by surprise. I suspect a few have passed on their ticket to a friend for a few of the matches they would have missed. Not in the know, but would be surprised to see this discount retained next season. Difficult to know if the to be discontinued 10% off merchandise had a positive or negative impact on club finances, I suspect the latter. Will be interested to see what the "exciting new loyalty scheme" will entail, probably not a great deal. Little reason to incentivise when you have a waiting list.

Maybe they should get more than 3 people dealing with 4,500 season ticket applications

Re: Season Ticket Deadline Extended
When the extension was made last year, it was clearly stated that sales would be capped, so those that chose to wait knew they were taking a risk. This has not been stated this year.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 11:31 am Hopefully they don’t pull the extension like last season

Yes, I want to renew but have been told in the latest Email to wait until the discount is loaded onto my account.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 24, 2024 3:42 pmWhen the extension was made last year, it was clearly stated that sales would be capped, so those that chose to wait knew they were taking a risk. Apparently this will take around 7 days, so I guess it must be a clunky old system they’re using, nevertheless I appreciate the fact that the club are recognising the fact that fans who attended all the home games by giving a discount.

A season ticket renewal deadline a week after the current season has finished was absolutely mental.

Re: Season Ticket Deadline Extended
'I think' is not good enough.
If there's a risk they're going to pull the plug on renewals as seems to be claimed, we need to be told.

So for clarification, were there more than 4500 season tickets issued last year?

Re: Season Ticket Deadline Extended
The following can be found on the Season Ticket FAQ page:
Question:
With Season Cards for the 2024/25 season being limited, will I be guaranteed my Season Card if I renew in the renew your seat period?
Answer:
Yes, all 2023/24 Season Card holders will have the opportunity to renew their seat, providing they do so before the renew your seat deadline of 5pm on Friday 3rd May.
I assume the answer is pre the extension announcement. My interpretation (it may not be right) is that the number of season tickets next season will be capped at the number of renewels within the new deadline or 4500, whichever the higher, i.e. if more than 4500 renew, number one on the waiting list will be unlucky but still well placed for the future. If you haven't got a season ticket and want one get on the waiting list. If less than 4500 renew, the top of the waiting list will be honoured. Again this is just my interpretation from what I've read.

Yes nearly 4600 were sold last year, higher that the 4500 cap, because they honoured renewals.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2024 9:03 am So for clarification, were there more than 4500 season tickets issued last year?

Re: Season Ticket Deadline Extended
Nope - can you please confirm when 4.500 cap was announced for 2024/25 and that they're going to pull the plug on renewals if reached?
Otherwise, looks like unnecessary sh*t-stirring.

They have not stated that renewals before the deadline will be capped, in fact they have stated the opposite, albeit with the earlier renewal date.
