Thought I’d check to see how far away from the actual quote I paraphrased, but nope, here it is:

I love the boldly stated assertion that it’s damaging to promote the idea to “asexual people” that their absence of interest in sex could simply be that they only rarely fancy people. Apparently it’s far, far better to treat absence of interest in sex as an identity and orientation, and create a community around it (from which members will be exiled if they actually do end up fancying someone)
