Interesting interview. 17k stadium with options to increase to 27k.

Re: Travis in the Times Newspaper
Nigel seemed to praise Rick Parry. He appeared before Parliament’s cross-party Culture, Media and Sport Committee on 16th January. See here

Interesting reading eg “big advantage” with an independent regulator would be its power “in moving to squad cost ratios and controlling costs in real time”. This would give leagues powers to monitor budgets and intervene proactively rather than retrospectively – clubs can stop reckless owners spending money they don’t actually have."

Very interesting article. It's good to have big Nige as our Chairman. He talks a lot of sense.

Read it this morning. Usual Nigel combination of intellectual insight and clever market positioning of the Orient. Even managed to get a name drop in there!

Re: Travis in the Times Newspaper
Safe standing would add a good number to the capacity of the ground - Norwich are going to start it

I have been told that safe standing doesn't increase capacity, you still have the same amount of space per person.

It would be lovely to think in a new stadium playing Championship football .

Yes, it will be but the big question is where? Wherever it's going to be it will never beat the ideal location of Brisbane road.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 10:06 amIt would be lovely to think in a new stadium playing Championship football .

They were they devil’s own organisation when he was trying to deflect blame onto them for our failure to control a COVID outbreak in September 2020.gshaw wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 9:42 pmIndeed, "brilliant" is definitely not the word that comes to mind when looking for a way to sum up that showerRich Tea Wellin wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 7:11 am Love Nigel but do find his arse licking of the efl a tad sickening
Now why would Nigel be at pains to paint a wonderful happy picture in a newspaper with international reach?
