O’Neill
What a find!
The boy is electric. Every time he had the ball he looked like he was going to do something with it. A real threat and repeatedly had the crowd up off their feet.
Very much looking forward to seeing how he progresses. So much end product is a joy to watch.

Re: O’Neill
Had their fullback on toast, dangerous delivery, great shooting and handled the physical stuff really well. Best wing performance I've seen for many years

Re: O’Neill
A front three of him, Graham/Archibald and Agyei with Ruel off the bench is a hell of a prospect for next season. If we can get Forde back or someone of his quality, and a decent back up forward, then we will be banging them in.

Re: O’Neill
Outstanding performance and the crowd have really taken to him. Glad he got the MOTM award but he owes Jordan Brown a pint or two for that superb dummy.
Galbraith was also immense and on another day would have won the MOTM

Re: O’Neill
I know he had a spell in Ireland but these are his first senior League games and he’s getting better week by week. Obvious quality on the ball that you’d expect from a Premier academy reject, but he is direct, great attitude and work rate, gets stuck in for a little un too.
What a signing.

Re: O’Neill
They’ve talked about Theo’s dodgy knee for ages. I suspect this operation is long overdue but they’ve held off until finding ONeill.

Re: O’Neill
Said on the ratings thread how brilliant I thought he was but he was that good it needs repeating here.

Re: O’Neill
Credit to Theo for continuing on playing up til now. I’m sure Richie will repay that loyalty.

Re: O’Neill
I wish O'Neill would try and run into the penalty area more when he has the ball just outside of it, instead of looking for someone to pass to. I'm sure if he did he'd make an opportunity to shoot or be fouled and we'd get a penalty.

Re: O’Neill
Agree with this. Good performance last night but was one one one a few times and turned it down. Richie will be good for his development there.
Most impressive thing about him so far is his strength. For a young kid, without loads of experience of men’s football he wins the ball back a lot and can hold players off with ease.

Re: O’Neill
Thought O'Neil was fantastic last night. Gave their full back a real roasting. Looking forward to seeing him go again on Saturday against Burton. Really unlucky not to score a second last night, great shot that their keeper did very well to get a hand to but could only push out to Forde.

Re: O’Neill
Love this sort of criticism of a kid who has played an absolute blinder in only his what, 2nd or 3rd game ever.

Re: O’Neill
Every time he got the ball last night you could feel a surge of expectation and excitement from the crowd. Showing my age I know but haven’t sensed it so much since Alan Comfort. Great to have him at the club. Looks a gem of a signing.

Re: O’Neill
Takes a special kind of negativity - can't be unique to Orient fans but sometimes feels like it - to watch that performance and immediately go "yeah, but...".Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 9:44 amLove this sort of criticism of a kid who has played an absolute blinder in only his what, 2nd or 3rd game ever.

Re: O’Neill
Yeah but needs to be a bit more direct and stop pissing about with the backward passes to the full back behind him.

Re: O’Neill
He got a goal and two assists last night on his second start as a League 1 player. I doubt we'll see a more productive performance from a winger all season.

Re: O’Neill
Are we forgetting that Paul Smyth absolutely bossed it last season from the same position and scored multiple wonder goals?

Re: O’Neill
We’ve been blessed with wingers over the years, Cunningham, Chiedozie, Comfort,Coxy and a few in between that probably don’t begin with ‘C’.
Let’s hope Ollie will be up there with the best.
Smyth weren’t too bad either, one of our better ‘loan’ signings!
