Re: New signings
Pleased with this. Couple of young lads on loan to give us options up top. They could turn out to be magic. And even if they are duds it doesn’t really matter, we won’t have wasted money on them.
Sensible transfer activity, especially with Drinan getting offloaded.
Wellens is planning a rebuild and phase one of clearing out the deadwood. Expect to see Moncur and a couple of others go in the summer and if the replacements are done well we could in for a play-off run.

Re: New signings
Look forward to seeing what these boys have got - if one of them works out, that’ll do me.
Credit to the club, left it late as ever but a couple of days decent work done.

Re: New signings
Means we'll have enough players to see us through to the end of season in attack I guess. Not thrilling to have this many temporary players here but it's a consolidation season so gives us the flexibility to rebuild properly in the summer.
Surprised we haven't replaced Turns.

Re: New signings
We have Happe , Beckles and Cooper for the CB positions. Somebody on here was saying we could also use Brown or Prately there as emergency cover . I think we're OK there .Mistadobalina wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2024 10:58 pm Means we'll have enough players to see us through to the end of season in attack I guess. Re: New signings
I call that a very good Transfer window
Fantastic news, 2 new young forwards, who def know where the net is, signed on loan for the season, means with O’Neil we have options for all forward positions.
Cooper signed on a perm deal, sad turns has left, but we can cover if needed.
And Drinan has been off loaded to Swindon, who paid a fee for him
But best news, once confirmed, will be when we know, El Miz is going nowhere, and will be an Orient player for rest of the season.
Well done Lingy
Can’t wait for Sat, let’s hope we see our new boys in action on Sat.

Re: New signings
I'm really pleased with the clubs transfer business but I was wondering who was that senior striker we missed out on that Lingy mentioned .?

Re: New signings
Imagine if one of these boys does what Kevin Campbell did for us back in 88/89.
And who remembers the famous song we got in our Orienteer program…
Leyton Orient scored more goals than any other 4th division team in 88/89

We were interested in him last summer, and think the club still were. The Reverend wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 7:58 amWhy makes you think that?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 12:48 amJust guessing is course, but I have a feeling it was McKirdyRedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 12:12 am I'm really pleased with the clubs transfer business but I was wondering who was that senior striker we missed out on that Lingy mentioned .?
Nothing concrete, just a feeling. We'll never know for sure

Re: New signings
The guy has an attitude problem & behaves like a petulant child on social media. Was a complete flop at Hibs as well.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 8:55 amWe were interested in him last summer, and think the club still were. The Reverend wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 7:58 amWhy makes you think that?ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 12:48 am

As you say, we’ll never know but I really couldn’t see him working with Wellens.

Re: New signings
No idea about either of these boys but that's a bold claim.
Remember, Shaq took a good 3-4 months training with the squad to get first team ready.

Re: New signings
Can't see Piggot dropping out for two untried kids who haven't even trained with the squad as yet.

Re: New signings
We’ve only got three months of the season left so can’t see they are going to muck about with these two, I expect them both to feature very soon, otherwise it’s pointless and will make it harder to get further loans from Arsenal & Bournemouth.Hoover Attack wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 9:43 amNo idea about either of these boys but that's a bold claim.
