Leyton Eateries
Went to the Turkish place Anatolia for a Turkish breakfast yesterday. Very nice. Melo do a nice English fry up too. Anyone go to Figo or Palmeira? Friends Lounge opposite Leyton Technical is new too.Leyton Tech is reopening as the Enginner. Had a lovely steak last season at Kapture. Anyone else eat elsewhere?

Smoke & Pepper.
Nearly £5 for a kit Kat and a very ordinary sausage roll in the ground yesterday, and the beer (£5.70) was flat and grim. Avoid spending money in the ground wherever possible. With such good options around now locally, why wouldn’t you?

Used to patronise the West Stand until chuck out time - Lion & Key a very suitable alternative.

Re: Leyton Eateries
Figo’s is solid without being spectacular. But pricey.
The haggis toasted sandwich at Deeney’s is excellent. Worth a go.
I had a superb Roast Chicken at the Coach today. First class.
The Technical reopening will change the landscape. Same mob as the Boleyn and Holly Tree and the food is quality.

Another vote for the haggis toasted sandwich at Deeney’s. It's absolute filth, but in a good way.

As a loyal supporter, I stop eating Thursday lunchtime, only to break my fast at 2:15pm with one of every item from the fabulous British Events Catering outlets inside the Gaughan Group Stadium.

The best place for a fry up in the area is The Sizzling Sausage on Hainault Road. Figo is overpriced. Anatolia is pretty good. I don't know if they still do the Sri Lankan food in The Coach, but that's lovely. I see plenty of posts on the Footy Scran Twitter feed that blow the offerings at the club out of the water. They need to raise their game.

5 Lads for me - "official" choice of the 1st team squad!
Figo's is ok; Kapture is decent too. One of these days I will try 2+2 in the ground.

Further up the High Road towards Midland Road is a Greek gaff called Bread & Oregano that is worth trying if you're up that way. They have a great breakfast menu, but also some nice lunch options too.

Ok for a beer, but has been closed a few times for the state of the kitchen I believe. Wouldn't eat there personally.

Oh dear, didn’t know that. I have had a few decent lunches in there .MassiveForehead wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 3:44 pmOk for a beer, but has been closed a few times for the state of the kitchen I believe. Wouldn't eat there personally.

Certainly an upgrade on what we currently have, very pleased
