Lots of talk about the pitch already but this deserves a thread of its own.

Record income, record attendances, record kiosk sales, record merchandise sales…. And record losses.

The fanbase are berated for not spending enough in the ground, for leaving season ticket seats empty, but those numbers show we’re doing our bit. The problem is what’s going out the door and we don’t control that.

The reasons given for the increase in operating losses seem reasonable enough. But it does illustrate how berating fans is contemptible.

I remember yonks ago Bazza saying that all footballers were interested in were their win bonuses; there must have been some significant bonuses paid for wins and promotion.

No mention of how much Spurs pay for their Women to play at Brizzie Road, that's a significant omission IMO.

As someone who had to write "Director's Reports" for 27 years of running my own businesses, Nigel's report is remarkably open.

We've got a good team in the financial, commercial and playing areas of the Club, I'm as happy as any Os supporter will ever be.

Now to magic up a 20,000 seater stadium one close season in the very near future.

Berated? It was mentioned once in a podcast interview? Been mentioned on here 100x since.

I'd also take issue with us not having control. We do in a way because the playing staff budget is by far the biggest number. We want decent players all over the park (some want 2 in every position), we want to be entertained. At league 2 level £3.9m was the cost of success and of keeping us interested. If either we or the board downed tools and stopped doing our bit, the other would react negatively too and it would impact on the clubs ability to serve up the same sort of football.

The good thing is that we have a smart board. They knew about this loss a year, maybe 18 months ago. They were prepare to invest to succeed and the gamble won. They are planning now for sustainability whilst supporting a significant continuing loss and providing possibly the best environment for that plan to succeed in my 35 years following this club of ours. COYOS!

Just checked, Hector joined Posh on 20 June and Moncur signed for us on 29 June 2022, so yes both in last year.

Didn’t see this level of detail last year, did we?
