Re: Brandon Cooper
Id be happy with him and Beckles as our choices for old school centre backs who can handle a scrap. Think Cooper has shown enough to suggest he could be a really good league 1 player. Pretty quick business from the club as well.

Re: Brandon Cooper
bit of a turnaround from "disgraceful red card!" "obviously wanted to get off home for Christmas" "gone downhill rapidly" etc etc

Re: Brandon Cooper
Thought he had been recalled by Swansea ??
Personally I quite liked him apart from the stupid thing he did when getting sent off.
He’s not the greatest footballer but he likes a scrap and not much gets past him, like an old fashioned ‘stopper’.

Re: Brandon Cooper
New Swansea Manager wanted to meet him
Before sanctioning any deal.
It's not finalised yet.

Re: Brandon Cooper
He has gone back at the end of his loan, we are in negotiations with Swansea to take him permanently and he would have to negotiate severance on his remaining contract. Reading also want him,tbh if he can sort out his discipline he would be a good signing.

Re: Brandon Cooper
Isn't his deal up in the summer. If he won't sign a new deal then it would be financially wise to sell him now.

Re: Brandon Cooper
You think that means one of Happe, Thompson or Turns are heading out the exit door then... surely we aren't funding 5 CBs until end of the season when we need more attacking options?

Re: Brandon Cooper
I’m pleased but quite surprised to hear about this news. I thought somebody on here said the new Swansea manager wanted to take a look at all his players before he let anybody leave.

Re: Brandon Cooper
I think it’s more likely Thompson could be going out on loan to get his match fitness back up after a lengthy injury absence

Re: Brandon Cooper
why not? We seem to have been happy with 6 CMs (Pratley, Brown, El-Miz, Sanders, Moncur, Galbraith)

Re: Brandon Cooper
Because Travis is crying about budget and we need to improve upfront more than CB?
The extra CM in summer was a bit of a strange one yet of those Pratley has to be managed carefully, Sanders has struggled for fitness and Moncur is a passenger, maybe that's what the extra numbers were for, who knows

Re: Brandon Cooper
Nigel Travis and co. are the ones putting the cash into the club and we are losing 2 million per season. How about you put a few million in?gshaw wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 5:13 pmBecause Travis is crying about budget and we need to improve upfront more than CB?
