Realistically need about 5 or 6 in the window and as many going out the door but with our recruitment committee working at the usual snail pace can't see it happening

I actually think that if we sign a winger and a striker, it will keep us up this season, and that's the main aim, but, the two players MUST be quality.... No cheapies, from league 2 clubs, if they are really decent players, they'll keep us up.
I realise they won't come cheap, but if you want to own a football club in 2023, then you have to be very rich, and our directors are.
In the summer we can add to the squad, and gradually get better, but for now it's about still being in this league after the final game

I actually think that if we sign a winger and a striker, it will keep us up this season, and that's the main aim, but, the two players MUST be quality.... No cheapies, from league 2 clubs, if they are really decent players, they'll keep us up.
I realise they won't come cheap, but if you want to own a football club in 2023, then you have to be very rich, and our directors are.
In the summer we can add to the squad, and gradually get better, but for now it's about still being in this league after the final game

Our directors are averagely rich in terms of
football club owners. If you compare them to
Kroenke or The sultans & Sheikhs or the Fenway
group , they are practically paupers.

We need 2-3 players to stay up. You can then do a bigger rebuild job in the summer. Replacing an entire squad when it'd just win the league would have tanked morale, meant no-one would've been up to speed with how we played and wouldn't have even been feasible with the contracts in place.

It isn't football manager, you need to have an element of realism about how much turnover is feasible.

We need 2-3 players to stay up. You can then do a bigger rebuild job in the summer. Replacing an entire squad when it'd just win the league would have tanked morale, meant no-one would've been up to speed with how we played and wouldn't have even been feasible with the contracts in place.

We'll stay up without new players, 2 or 3 get us there quicker.
