Yep - Hideous day out all round. Then again i can think of many more like this between 1993 and 2002

Didn't they go up as champions in 2000-2001?
They had 9 pts deducted and finished 3rd in Nationwide div. 3.

Chesterfield were the first team we played (excluding friendlies) under the Mad Italian ownership and we lost 2-1.

I've always thought that if we had won that, things might have been very different.

Before that match I had read that teams that were relegated had often lost their first home match. Certainly applied to us (but not this season!)
