Last season after 3 games we had accrued 3 points
We have a game in hand on last years stats .
Keep up the good work
To Ross & all the playing staff
Ahead of schedule
Something im Sure JE would be very proud of
under such circumstances.
Onwards & upwards O's
Points make prizes as Bruce used to say.

Re: 3 points
Could well Double the points tally we had 3 games in last year & we went onto be Champions.
Now im not saying we will be that this year ,
But 3 games in we cannot categorically be on
less points after 3 games.

Re: 3 points
This is the problem with evaluating teams based on tiny sample sizes.
Last week there wasn't a hysterical overreaction to a win. Yet this week there is a hysterical overreaction to a loss. There is some constructive criticism but I think a lot of people just like to lash out and brainfart.

Re: 3 points
Last season we had a hard fought draw against our main rivals for the title (which ended up being vital) and a couple of unfortunate drops of points from winning positions.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: βSat Aug 10, 2019 10:22 pmThis is the problem with evaluating teams based on tiny sample sizes.

Today was a demolition by a side fancied for relegation and manner of the performance sounds really poor as well. Makes you wonder how we'll fare against a good side, especially with lack of options to change things up in some areas.

Re: 3 points
So what if they are fancied for relegation? That doesn't necessarily reflect future performance. For example think how garbage Solihull were in our first NL season and yet they finished second in our second NL season.gshaw wrote: βSat Aug 10, 2019 11:15 pmLast season we had a hard fought draw against our main rivals for the title (which ended up being vital) and a couple of unfortunate drops of points from winning positions.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: βSat Aug 10, 2019 10:22 pmThis is the problem with evaluating teams based on tiny sample sizes.

Also variability at the start of the season will happen when teams are not in their rhythm. It's more of a leveller.
Far too much pants sh*tting from simple minds like yours.

One day you might learn how to post without the personal insults, try it sometime if your "simple mind" can manage itSmendrick Feaselberg wrote: βSat Aug 10, 2019 11:30 pmSo what if they are fancied for relegation? I don't have a simple mind. I think about the big picture and think things through. You don't seem capable of that.

That would just be mindless though and confirm your simple mind. There's nothing in your posts to suggest you look at the bigger picture.gshaw wrote: βSat Aug 10, 2019 11:35 pmI could copy and paste the same back at youSmendrick Feaselberg wrote: βSat Aug 10, 2019 11:34 pm I don't have a simple mind. Macc were tipped for relegation purely for the financial difficulties facing the club at the minute.
Bury last year were tipped for relegation & Notts County were tipped for the title.
All this nonsense about who is fancied to do this or that is a bit daft.
We were quoted at 14-1 for relegation.
Considering the odds were 5-1 upto 40-1
we were closer to the bottom of the table than we were to the top
To be fair as well the Brainfarting is down to the fact they have been holding all in from last year & our success

Re: 3 points
I can completely get people disappointed that we lost. I just don't get the massive overreaction. Even last year when we were successful the same people were overreacting to dropped points so I think it's just a personality thing. That's their problem, not Orient's.tuffers#1 wrote: βSun Aug 11, 2019 12:09 amIndeed Smed ,Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: βSat Aug 10, 2019 10:22 pmThis is the problem with evaluating teams based on tiny sample sizes.

I think it was our expectation that we would turn up and roll over a team that just scraped staying up last season. But Campbell has made a few good signings and once they got in front, their confidence soared. I dont expect them to be at the bottom this season.
For those of us there, it was frustration at our poor defending but I am sure we will learn from our 3 basic mistakes.
