Kind of irrelevant really as, according to Nigel T, anyone who spends their money outside the ground on a match day is a traitor. Given that this board is exclusively made up of super fans I wouldn’t expect anyone to be having a pre-match drink/food anywhere but Brisbane Road.

Largely irrelevant, I know as I don't get to many home games now but for many years my pre match pub has been The Northcote. See no reason to change when I am able to attend.

There is now a banner outside advertising that it will be reopening next year?

Yes. And places with security are pure poo poo, and a decent indication that I won’t have a good time there.
In my twenties? Maybe. Now? Nah, I’d probably walk past and look for somewhere else
Totally agree. Awful place, so many real pubs nearby, user friendly toilets and in premises that do not remind one of bad times like when I went there to get a work permit to do a milk round and was refused by some council jobsworth as I had filled the form in using a blue pen. That place is not for me.

The technical was a good boozer when it wasn't absolutely rammed before match days. Much like all pubs, anywhere. Obviously you don't want so few in there, to be able to hear the mice chewing your shoe laces, but being able to hear your mates is a plus.
