Exiles thread Exeter A

Post by VeganO »

Morning all, its going to be a scorcher - weather wise.
I'm on the way to Exeter via Bristol & looking forward to a good day out.
We have a recent poor record at Exeter & I've witnessed a few hammerings over the years. I'm not expecting much today but at some point we'll get a point at St James Park or even win. Maybe today? Hope springs eternal.

As ever, COYO'S. :lofc:

I'm going to Southern Spain tomorrow for a weeks golf, it's cooler there than it is here in the sleepy Hamlet of Hornchurch. Crazy weather.
Have a safe journey VeganO and I hope the Os come away with something from the game. I've already predicted on Constanza's thread, a 2-2 draw.

and just noticed this in the match preview, so let's not be too disheartened before play starts.

""Exeter and Orient have met 94 times in the past, with the O’s just having the edge historically. Orient’s 34 victories is one better than Exeter’s tally of 33 and there have also been 27 draws between the two clubs.""

Cheers EN. Enjoy Spain.
Like the historical record, please let it be 35 - 33 after today.

Morning to you all from scorching S Wales, where we're saving electricity by frying our breakfasts on the patio stones. Weather could be a factor in the game today, as well as how well we defend set pieces. Going to be streaming so hoping to see a point or three go our way. COYO's!!!!

After the way we defended last week that doesn't seem like such a bad idea . Hopefully the heat will be a leveller because they are a better side then us .

I think we need a ''Cunning plan Mr MB'' how about a few more extra defenders to hide somehow on the pitch, just keep the players moving around a lot so that the referee cant count the few extra players, also sneaking on an extra keeper would help a lot as well

My greenhouse thermometer is showing 52C good job all I’ve got growing in there are cacti. This just isn’t football weather. We should be watching cricket.

A first start this season for Pratley, I think and I think that will make a difference. But I still see a 2-2 draw.

We have settled really well and controlling game, and should be 1-0 up, Beckles hit bar with header from 2 yards out.
Pratts makes a big diff when he starts

How did that not end up a) a pen for the foul on Pigott and then b) a goal from 2 yards out Sotiriou

All Orient other than one shot in the last few minutes that SB pushed behind for a corner. Other than that they’ve hardly been in our half.

Encouraging.
