You could tell they knew they were better than the Aussies even after Kerr hit that banger. Never seen an England team in any sport apart from maybe the Rugby World Cup winners who have such a champions mentality.

Sarina Wiegman is a brilliant manager for the England ladies team and has the gift of being a flexible thinker when it comes to tactics and is able to change team formations, player positions and adapt to different game plans, something Southgate and dare I say it RW, dont seem able to do ! Her timing for substitutions are very good. Also a manager who is well liked by her players.

Have you been watching Stan surprised if you have - despite losing to Japan, Spain are the best team that I have seen so far. I would go back to daydreaming about Dane Scarlett if I were you.

England’s performance against Australia was the best of any team at the tournament so far, it was that good. Even my sport-mad Australian wife agreed England were the better team by some distance. If they take that attitude into the Final then they win it. Really looking forward to it.

England 1-0 down at half time. Started well hit the bar but Spain have been on top since going ahead. Both teams looking to play a possession based game. Spain are having most of theirs in Englands half and limiting England going forward. Spain had 62% possesion, England need park the keep ball and get it forward quicker to Hemp and Russo.
