It's nowhere near men's football of any standard, but what l do like about it is the fact that when they get tackled they don't scream and roll about as if they have just been hit by a lightning bolt. Well done to the Ladies.

Shock result, New Zealand lose 1-0 to Philippines.
The Filipino goal keeper played really well and pulled off one of the best saves so far of the tournament ! !

Germany are always good in football tournaments, be it the men's or women's teams.

Lauren James with the 3rd , corner kick placed to her on the edge of the area to thump home , I reckon she's been watching her namesake Tom James 🤔 .

Ditto

Some damn good goals there and when they attack, there seemed to be always three England players in the box ready to receive the ball, the ball carrier didn't have to wait for the players to catch up.

Well done Engerland Lyonnesse

Should have been 7 - I don't understand why that goal was chalked off for offside.

Worse thing about watching this tournament is that it led me to this.

England having a very hard time against Nigeria who hit the bar twice now. Hopefully BBC sort the commentary out, even Dave Victor has never been 5 seconds ahead of the video

Unhelpful to compare to the men’s game, I know, but they’re doing a fair impression of a men’s England World Cup knockout match from the 2000s. Running out of ideas, sloppy passing, and a Rooney-esque red card there.

I was going for Beckham v Argentina, very silly

Lots of sloppy passing second half, lucky to even get to ET

Stupid of Lauren James to get sent off like that. She could now face a three match ban.

Poorest performance from England women ever, we are so lucky to be through.
Couldn’t bare to watch anymore after James was sent off, went for a walk and returned to see we had managed no to concede in extra time and won on penalty’s.
All credit to Nigeria for their attacking, positive football which our ladies couldn’t deal with, so so lucky to still be in the World Cup.
Hopefully this woeful performance will be a one off and we will play much better from now on.

Agreed I said to my mates it's a lot like watching the men's team. Then retracted it when we won on penalties!

Fortunately for us their strikers were absolutely appalling, missed some sitters and the first two pens were equally bad. Definitely rode our luck today.
