So your happy to have another " not a great finisher". I thought we had moved on for the Job for the boys eraMonkey Boy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 11:06 amI tend to agree with this “ not a great finisher” I think he’s better than Drinnan and Kelman. Can he recapture his form. I have a feeling he can. He’s only 27 and knows the club pretty well. Can we afford him, does Wellens want him? Can’t see him getting a championship club only league one or two and the fact he tends to stay in the south. Personally would like to see him backMax Fowler wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:47 amHis style of play is Richie all over.Equaliser0 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 10:43 am

Able to play the lone front man, works defences tirelessly both on and off the ball, strong, quick, not that great a finisher.![]()
Re: Macca Bonne
Like I said he’s better than Drinnan and I think he’s Wellens sort of player but you have to be realistic as to what we can bring in and afford, we ain’t going to get Harry Kane are we. We probably won’t get Bonne? Anyone that can put the ball in the net for 15/20 times a season as already probablly been signed are signing or at a club already, unless you think that the club are going to pay a large transfer fee for a player. If we can unearth a player that can get 20 goals for us at a bargain price I would be highly delighted as most O’s supporters would beEqualiser0 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 11:13 amSo your happy to have another " not a great finisher". Re: Macca Bonne
"Not a great finisher". Have we had a striker with better goal-scoring statistics subsequently?
Re: Macca Bonne
Wonder who on here would like to see us sign apart from Armstrong and Bonne. Taking into account the style Wellens plays and how much we could realistically afford?

I loved Macca and would have him back in a heartbeat, but he's not a finisher.Give it to Jabo wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 11:54 am "Not a great finisher". Have we had a striker with better goal-scoring statistics subsequently?

He is the captain of the Montserrat national team and Matt Lockwood is their head coach. We need some help from Locky here.

And also scare the sh*t out of the clubs bank manager . How much do you reckon those two would cost . ? Both would be miles above our budget.Equaliser0 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 12:10 pm So is Troy Deeeney , those 2 up front would scare the sh*t out of League 1 for a Season .

Absolutely I am but how deep is our pockets? Don’t get me wrong, if we did signed those two I’d be over the moon but I think it’s unrealisticEqualiser0 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 1:16 pmThought you were all about Ambition ?RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 19, 2023 1:14 pmAnd also scare the sh*t out of the clubs bank manager . Re: Macca Bonne
I reckon he'll definitely find a new club . The only thing that's in question is how much of a pay cut he'll end up with compared to what he was earning at Charlton. Edit , Maybe we did want him but couldn't afford his wages .As always it's down to money and we have to work within our budget .
