Re: Ogie
Played in Marbella. Its a shame we haven't used him after he showed so much potential, but in Wellens we trust.

Re: Ogie
Would be a smart move either loaning or selling. Wellens doesn't seem to trust him. Ogie has regressed if anything so a move would suit both parties and frees up budget for League 1 ready players.

Re: Ogie
It’s a good move for Ogie, he needs regular football and he won’t get that with us.
Incoming CB this week, plus Brown showed he is more than capable of playing CB if/when needed.

Re: Ogie
I view Ogie as our number 3 CH behind Beckles and Happe. Also our defender with the most pace. Wouldn't be happy to see him go, without a decent replacement such as Turns coming in. Turns more likely to get bullied, I wouldn't mess with Ogie. That said Ogie prone to take one risk too many. Wouldn't want Brown at CH on a regular basis.
Interested to see Ethan Coleman was one of the only two players to play the full 90 minutes against Charlton.

Re: Ogie
It's this - Richie doesn't trust him because of this. And his decision making isn't going to improve sitting on the bench or in the stands.Chelmsford Swimmer wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 10:45 pm That said Ogie prone to take one risk too many.

Re: Ogie
Surprised at that, unless we were able to get a good fee for him. Versatile and seemed to have developed quite well.
Before injuries hampered his season just gone, thought he more than earned a squad place this season. Perhaps Richie feels he wasn’t quite at league 1 level and won’t get much of a look in. The KJ connection also makes sense.
Final interesting point that I believe his last game for us was his straight red against Mansfield away last season? Lad was clean through, and I’m sure replays showed it was actually a brilliant tackle by Shad.
Also a bit disappointed to see one of the really good prospects come through our academy in recent years sold off. Perhaps one we’ll regret? Time will tell

Re: Ogie
I think he's too mistake prone for Richie, he almost cost us last week vs Charlton in Spain getting caught on the ball in our box and was bailed out by Sam Howes. Would imagine he would cost the Gills a few bob which we can spend elsewhere, I think Brown could end up there in time.

Re: Ogie
Brown will not be a CB. He needs to improve his game on the ball and develop as a CDM.Top of the JES wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 10:59 pmI think he's too mistake prone for Richie, he almost cost us last week vs Charlton in Spain getting caught on the ball in our box and was bailed out by Sam Howes. Re: Ogie
He can play there or at right back if need be, he didn't look out of place against Charlton. We need someone who can fill in different positions, he is already one of the best passers of the ball we have.Max Fowler wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 11:01 pmBrown will not be a CB. Re: Ogie
Obviously that must mean then we're signing a new CB . Perhaps Ed Turns on loan again or McCart or maybe even that Peterborough player that was mentioned, Frankie Kent .

Re: Ogie
Good player for league two level and would have been first choice last season had he not lost his head in the defeat to Northampton. Happe took his chance and pushed Ogie out to number three CB, and eventually number four.

I don't think Richie would be that unprofessional.

Talks about how he hasn’t been training well and goes against his values. No time for players at the club that can’t be arsed training well.
