Yeah, he'll need some time to recover, I know I did... after the reduction. :P

Beggars the question, why didn't the club get his surgery done sooner?

Yeah. I mean, I get them wanting to see if rest and rehab fixed it but waiting til now is a bit puzzling.

Can only think they feel he can't do a full season anyway so missing the first 5-6 league games won't be much of an issue.

He'll miss more than 5 or 6 games. At his age , healing is slower than a 20 yr old. I would be surprised to see him back before Late September

Yeah...I took four weeks as the minimum period. His absence leaves us even more light at a time when we want to build some momentum.

Might have coincided with him finishing his coaching badges .

Have the op
A week to get over the initail stuff
Finish coaching badges up in Scotland.

I see Jobi being set up to take over from Ross at some point, unless of course he wins the 1st 70 % of his first 20 games in charge.

Jobi not being available for a whole season is hardly a surprise. So we go into the new season with a Jobi, Brill, Dayton and Turley without a decent preseason. Wright in but Lee and Lawless out so one down in that area. Encouraging

But so long as we don’t pick up early injuries we should be OK. Let’s trust to luck.
