I came to the last home game and wondered if we survive as a club. 6 years on we are again a League 1 club, it’s been some journey

Was a bit emotional as we lifted the trophy. Was at Crewe the day we got relegated and I truly couldn’t see a way back. Really thought we’d end up dropping down the league or existence.

So to win the title and get back almost where we were is cathartic and will help me put away the sadness over the last 8-9 years.

I was also very emotional, as I was on the pitch against Crewe.

When you look back at the history though, we have gone from League 1, to National League and back to League 1 (while getting PROPER owners) all in 8 seasons.

Our recovery has been nothing short of amazing. I am so proud.

From the despair under FB, to this, it has been an amazing journey to where we are now, and is forever part of all of us.

Out of the nightmare emerged Travis & Teague, and our support felt stronger and deeper than it had been previously, I guess we were all galvanised by events.

It feels like we’re back where we historically belong now, and I look forward to the next chapter.
