Re: Highlights Mansfield
Looked like he got a toe to the ball. But incredible pace to get back there in the first place.

Re: Highlights Mansfield
I would appeal, but you know it's a joke, you just get an extra game ban, even if the appeal is justified. I was in line and at the time thought the second goal was offside, but it wasn't.

Re: Highlights Mansfield
Yeah he did well to get his man but he was never going to get the ball. In my opinion Ogie did the right thing . I’ve seen opposition defenders do similar things to us .

Re: Highlights Mansfield
No complaints with the red card.
People are saying Shad made the right call to take the red and save the goal but I don't think that was his thought process at all. He's gone for that thinking he could win the ball and he was only a millisecond out. A match fit Shad would have got there.....
Sadlier's defending for their goal is bloody awful.
Only watched the second half last night but that was a ridiculously good performance from a make-shift side. The way in which we played didn't change at all, which is a testament to how well drilled the entire squad is in what we're doing.

Had no interest in making the journey but what a throughly enjoyable game to watch on the stream. The games since the promotion win against Carlisle have been lovely to watch and although feeling footballed out, going to thoroughly enjoy the last 2 days out.

We defended superbly. However, Thompsons man scored the goal and he owes shad a few beers too. Can’t see him being around next season, as good a lad as he is.

Re: Highlights Mansfield
Our second goal was a wonderful piece of football. The ball from Kelman to Sadlier, with the outside of his right foot, was wondeful from Kelman.
Sadlier looked up and saw Sotiriou, and put in the perfect pass to him, and first time from Sotiriou & the ball was in the net. Magnificent.
Kelman looked a really good player last night, as did Sadlier.
Sadlier seemed to have more freedom to roam, he was sometimes in Moncurs position and sometimes more left winger....he looked so good. On this form he has to be offered a contract .
Even with 10 men for half an hour, we still didnt look in great danger, against one of the better teams in league 2.
This team we have is the best for a generation or more. Not since the days of Kitchen , Mayo, etc have we been this good. I shall never forget this team

Re: Highlights Mansfield
Yes, I've just listened to Richie's post match interview and he said he was told by Shad that he did touch the ball first . Richie said Shad is an honest player so I believe him . I've now changed my mind from earlier , yes in that case he was unlucky to be sent off .

No, watch Sadlier before the winger beats Kelman. He's in a good position covering but then vacates it to go to the supporting full back.Real Al wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 9:07 amSadlier? Surely McCartTRUMP Plumbing wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 8:42 am No complaints with the red card.

Re: Highlights Mansfield
Love that from Shad. Goal almost inevitable sometimes a red card is ok. Lucky we’re under no more pressure from it

Sorry, it is Kelman, not McCart (thought it was number 33).TRUMP Plumbing wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 11:29 amNo, watch Sadlier before the winger beats Kelman. Should he not have covered the other guy though? It was Kelman letting the winger just drift pass him that opened us up.
