Perhaps the same thinking with Ling this year? Where did he play when Judd came on?
Although I don't really see him as a similar player to Harris.
Ling moved to central midfield when Myles Judd came on.
Is that what happened? Seemed to me they were swapping roles at times, not too sure what they should be doing or where. Sort of making it up as they went along. Summed up the whole game for me. Probably Ok for minutes and fitness but not too sure any further forward about tactics and formation. Though corners to the far post was tried a lot.
What on earth are you talking about?

Even in 2006 when we went up Tan and Miller weren't exactly spectacular. In 2013/14 Scott Cuthbert basically covered the whole year, good player but a centre back. Last season it was probably our weakest position overall...

Best one was probably Matt Joseph...
Andrew Whing did a good job for us in the 2010 season where we had the FA Cup run. Scored the best goal I've seen an RB hit too. Matt Joseph gets my all-time favourite vote though.
One of my favourite all time goals, that.

He was steady, wouldn’t say he was outstanding. Did a job though, for sure.

Yeah I know, crazy eh

I loved how laissez faire it was, he just picked the ball up, kept running and without breaking stride whacked it true into the top corner. Boom :D

Think even Whing himself was surprised judging by his facial expression at the time!

No one was doing cartwheels when we signed Whing but he was exactly what was needed at that time. Joseph, I think would be everyone's number one pick for best right back but I always thought Cuthbert was excellent there. He was a tad too passive centrally but at right back he could make use of his good passing to really support play whilst being extremely solid in defence to allow the player in front of him to dazzle. Obviously some dazzled more than others, *cough* Jimmy Smith *cough*.

Yup he was a solid, no-nonsense player and you need those in a side. Turley being the 2018-19 equivalent and no surprise he did a similarly effective job.

? He has played in the EFL before why wouldn’t he be good enough?

I hope this isn't true . We've sold enough of our best players already . IMO, its crucial we keep our current defence together for at least one season back in the EFL.

With a minimal goal ratio, and hardly set the world on fire in non league. Would be an improvement on Alabi for sure, but wouldnt want to pay a fee for him.

His goal ratio is on the same par as Koroma for last season 1 in every 3 is that really bad? so not sure why we wouldn’t pay a fee as he’s still under contract

With two forwards as starters whoever comes in will be somebody prepared to be the third striker. Unlikely fees will be involved.

Yep - I go with you on Whing - very decent.
