I've read that it may have been a Ukrainian air defence missile that was launched to intercept the incoming Russian rockets. Hopefully it will cool some of the heads calling for escalation. However, Ukraine would be launching air defence missiles if they were not under attack by Russia in the first place.
Ukrainia is only able to launch air defence missiles because they got them as an early Xmas present from the warmongers at NATO.
Anyway it's time for peace talks which is what was being discussed between US and Russia in Ankara the other day.

Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
This morning the British ambassadors in Kiev and Moscow handed the Ukrainia and Russian governments a final note stating that unless we heard from them by 11 o'clock that they were prepared at once to withdraw their missile debris from Poland, a state of war would exist between us. I have to tell you now that no such undertaking has been received, and that consequently this country is at war with Ukrainia and Russia.

Plenty of that kind of content available if you know where to look. The casualty rate on both sides is going to be horrific.

If NATO are warmongers then how would we describe Russia which has invaded a sovereign state because it wants more territory? Russia is also deliberately targeting & killing civilians which is of course a war crime.
No Government or organisation is perfect but the Russian regime is evil & dangerous.

Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
You are way off with this conflict which you will recall started when Russia invaded a sovereign state under the ludicrous pretext of denazification of Ukraine. So should we have just ignored it letting Russia overrun the whole of Ukraine & not helped the latter in any way?Max B Gold wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 11:57 amEasily. Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
I believe Ukraine can't win this war, and if it goes on and on, Russia will win.
By supplying Ukraine with money and weapons, the West, is prolonging this war, which means more deaths.
It suits USA to have a weakened Russia, hence their interest in prolonging this war.
A neutral country(if there is one), must broker peace talks.
Once again, the UN has proved useless.
The death and suffering is truly terrible, and this war must end

No. That's not what I'm saying. Ukrainia should be supported in resisting the special operation. Russia are the aggressors but NATO have a history of it too.

What a load of apologist crap. Sovereign states have every right to join nato without the fear of reprisal. Russia weaponised and funded Ukrainian regions to civil war, and when this failed went to war themselves.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 10:42 am An interesting article:

Re: Russia / Ukraine Watch
Unlikely, unfortunately. Putin may fall if Russia is defeated and pushed back to the February 2021 boundaries, definitely if back to the 2014 boundaries. But he'll be replaced with someone else from the same cabal. It will be interesting to see how some of the other ex-soviet states in central Asia react to such a scenario, however.Long slender neck wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 10:45 amThe war ends with Putin dying and the Russian people taking control of their country to live in a civilised democracy.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 10:11 pm I believe Ukraine can't win this war, and if it goes on and on, Russia will win.

It's likely that we're going to see a further huge invasion of poorly trained and equipped Russian (and possibly Belarussian) troops. The age old Russian tactic of sheer numbers being a quality of its own. They're going to meet Ukrainian forces that will be much fewer in number, but be more motivated and with better equipment.
It's going to be an absolute bloodbath, but f*ck knows how this is going to end. If I had to guess, I'd go with an outcome equivalent to Europe having a Korea or Libya on its doorstep.
