No. What's going to happen is that the public sector is going to get f*cked sideways with a 12" dildo wrapped in sandpaper and razor wire.

It's almost as if they created this mess on purpose so they could then start cutting welfare which always plays out well to their base.

They need to cut far more than that though and where?

Looking like everyone, those with a mortgage or renters, will be looking at substantial increases in payments. As lenders hit owner occupiers or tenants through buy to let landlords, feel the pain of higher rates. 1p of tax wiped out dozens of times.

IMF now talking about the UK like this. Embarrassing.

“We are closely monitoring recent economic developments in the UK and are engaged with the authorities.”

Then what? You may not have noticed but inflation is rampant and Sterling is tanking. Hodl for now or get some Crypto.
Every year my Sister has bought 5k of $ for the last 2 decades. Just cashed in yesterday . 4X trading has its perks I suppose .
How boring.

When everybody is on your back, you must be doing something right?

If the IMF have an issue with a £1.4bn change in April, against a debt of £2,000bn, you know they are concerned about us becoming more competitive and want to keep us down. They also never or almost ever make any political statements, but they have now.

Definitely. When everyone's saying 'Don't throw yourself off that cliff', it can really only mean one thing.

^I see that the "don't like the message, then discredit the messenger" defence is being deployed.

Anyway, whatever, this is brilliant. Apparently the reason why the international money markets are spooked by the UK isn't because of fiscal and monetary policy, it's because they're worried about Kier Starmer.

No, of course not. They just rely on some of it sticking with the usual thicko voters.

However it's all about to be drowned about because a MASSIVE intervention is being announced now by the BoE.

Old City mates of mine say that Truss is referred to as "Daggers", as she is 2-3 stops past Barking

According to the BoE, this will be funded by the Bank's own reserves. So is this not QE (which is bad enough)? Are we seeing our banking reserves depleted just to bail out this f*cking government?

Oh wait, I think I've answered my own question. If the bank's reserves are a result of previous QE/printing, then this is sort of more QE. Anyone know if this is right?
