Undisclosed fee, which i assume we will get some of. Cant imagine its a lot though.
Interesting that this comes on the day the Alabi news comes out, but would seem strange that he would pick us over Watford any ways.

Re: Sam Dalby Joins Watford
Goes to join another development squad
Surely these youngsters would prefer to be playing first team football even if it was lower league etc
Nice easy pay packet I guess
Shame!!!

Great move for him going to a Premier League club plus he's closer to home. I wish him good luck. We might also get some extra money as an add on. Hopefullythis means we can bring in one or two more players.

Re: Sam Dalby Joins Watford
A few different people have said that we were in talks with him (guess this still might be a possibilty but with Watford) to come back, presumably on loan.redintheface wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:06 pmYou think the two are connected?Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:04 pm

Likelihood they aren't connected but may now be out of our budget to pay his wages or some of his wages, if Alabi is staying.

Yes as I heard Watford wanted Alabi but we wouldn't release him so they went for Dalbyredintheface wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:06 pmYou think the two are connected?Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:04 pm

Re: Sam Dalby Joins Watford
Club was obviously hoping that Dalby would become a first teamer at Leeds and get sold for a decent amount, a bit disappointing this. Since he's only signed for two years, it's going to be 10-20% of not particularly much.

Working again with Watford academy manager Richard Thomas who was Youth team manager at the Os when Dalby was starting to come through the ranks.

Leeds will no doubt have a sell on fee so if Watford sell him, they’ll get the kick back. Gutted.

Wasn’t getting a look in under Davis, doubt that would have changed under Justin.

They absolutely are connected, and I had it on very good authority that that was the case (which is why I made the point a few days ago)Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:56 pmA few different people have said that we were in talks with him (guess this still might be a possibilty but with Watford) to come back, presumably on loan.redintheface wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:06 pmYou think the two are connected?Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:04 pm

Dalby is joining Watford’s development squad, so it’s not quite such a clear cut upgrade on being in Orient’s first team squad. He would deffo have joined us if we could have freed up Alabi’s wage. It’s very unlikely that will happen now.

Re: Sam Dalby Joins Watford
Hang on. Leeds wouldn't have sold him if they could have loaned him out, and we were the only club interested in loaning him so they then had no choice but to sell him?OyinbO wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 10:01 pmThey absolutely are connected, and I had it on very good authority that that was the case (which is why I made the point a few days ago)Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 4:56 pmA few different people have said that we were in talks with him (guess this still might be a possibilty but with Watford) to come back, presumably on loan.
