Beats me as to why Smyth continues to do that crazy double somersaults celebration after scoring a goal, especially being as he has had so many injury problems.

Those highlights are harsh. Didn’t show at least two 1 vs1 for Smyth.

Tommy Taylor had a beef with Scot Mcgleash for doing that, was worried about injuriesSid Bishop wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 1:45 am Beats me as to why Smyth continues to do that crazy double somersaults celebration after scoring a goal, especially being as he has had so many injury problems.

Sticking to Smyth, well if a player is very fit and rarely has any injury problems, then ok to do this ( but why the need to do it ? ) but in his case, surprised the management has not had a word in his ear to go for a more modest celebration ? In the time of that great goal scorer Jimmy Greaves, a brief handshake from a fellow team mate was the norm !Type high wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 9:54 amTommy Taylor had a beef with Scot Mcgleash for doing that, was worried about injuriesSid Bishop wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 1:45 am Beats me as to why Smyth continues to do that crazy double somersaults celebration after scoring a goal, especially being as he has had so many injury problems.
Another thing that annoys me is when some players score a goal and straight away take off their shirts, whilst knowing full well that this is an automatic yellow card offence, so dumb and self inflicted and something the club should impose a set fine for.

Efe Echanomi used to love a bit of that as well. Didn't he get injured doing it once or am I imagining that. I know it was something much more innocuous that effectively finished his career.Type high wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 9:54 amTommy Taylor had a beef with Scot Mcgleash for doing that, was worried about injuriesSid Bishop wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 1:45 am Beats me as to why Smyth continues to do that crazy double somersaults celebration after scoring a goal, especially being as he has had so many injury problems.

sitting in the east stand on a Tuesday night, North end, and the players are doing their pre match bit, when Efe is laying in the six yard box waving his arms. I think it was a broken leg !O Superman wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 10:46 amEfe Echanomi used to love a bit of that as well. Didn't he get injured doing it once or am I imagining that. The most barmy one was when he signed they got him to do it on the concourse, one thing landing face down on grass, solid concrete bit differentSid Bishop wrote: ↑Wed Aug 17, 2022 1:45 am Beats me as to why Smyth continues to do that crazy double somersaults celebration after scoring a goal, especially being as he has had so many injury problems.

Re: Swindon 1-1 Highlights (away )
I remember Echanomi doing a double or triple flip at Brisbane Road in front of the away section after scoring and getting a nice round of applause..
That said, I find it hard to believe that the management, coaching and fitness staff have not advised Paul Smyth against doing this.

Re: Swindon 1-1 Highlights (away )
I can understand both sides here, the players are more than just footballers now, having just scored the adrenalin rush makes them believe they are Superman. The manager thoe is shiting a brick worrying about injury effect on the team and possible repercussions from "upstairs as to why he allows it. He gets it in the neck both ways

End of the day, he should find another way to celebrate after scoring a goal.

A load of fat old men telling a professional football how he should and shouldn’t celebrate
