7 midfielders put forward to Richie Wellens

Post by LittleMate »

He rejected 6 of them according to Nigel Travers.

At least we know who's in charge and he knows what he wants.

In Richie we trust.

No wonder things are going wrong , it should be Richie naming the players he wants not having names put forward to him.
Will our club ever get this right ?

Absolutely Poundy . This is where things can go wrong . It should be Richie’s choice, not our asshole transfer committee. If it’s their choice I’m glad Richie turned down six of them.

The transfer committee clearly do not listen to Richie before doing their homework , it’s not rocket science !!

Just as well RW is getting the veto Jackett want afforded but you have to be asking questions of the rest of the transfer committee / scouts bringing in that many unsuitable players. How much time has been wasted there?

Also to the OP, absolutely, in Wellens we trust :lofc:

Poundy isn't moaning, he's just stating facts.
The club give it the Big'n we want to get out of this division & we want to be a Championship side in 5 years & stuff like that, then they need to back the manager & get who he wants, not cheap options that aren't going to achieve what they say they want.

Remember Travis in January "we are going to be aggressive in the transfer market". Really? What a shambles that was & where are those players now?

On The Orient supporters FB account. They (Nigel, etc) had some sort of Q+A for the overseas supporters. Something along those lines.

Its a question of how YOU see things. I see this as a positive.

RW knows exactly what he wants and what he's being suggested does not fit the bill. RW does not have time to source the players he wants. If he did his title would be DoF. If he took on the responsibility of sourcing every player all he would do would be either to dilute his coaching role or take on someone to do it under him. Now he says what he wants and presumably ML comes up with the current list and RW gets the say on who comes in.

The only problem ML keeps getting wrong, time and time again. The proof of this is that RW turned down not just one but six of the names put forward. When it’s only one or two positions that need filling and RW knows who he wants why trust ML who keeps failing ?
