You can’t and shouldn’t compare Men v Women's football.

It is what it is and has been really enjoyable, the standard has improved and is a very good watch.

Some England Fans (Men) will not allow themselves to watch The Lionesses out of pride, and don’t want to admit to other football fans they watched a game of women’s football, which is sad, as they are missing a great tournament.

Just accept it’s not mens football, swallow your pride, and get a few beers and tune in for Sunday’s final, Wembley will be a sell out and the atmosphere will be fantastic, and you might be surprised and actually enjoy watching The Lionesses roar and make history,

If you’re not a fan, simple don’t watch it, if you’re a Sassenach, don’t watch and toss a Caber instead 👍
Watching the Lionessess is like watching the Mens Scottish National team, so Scots might enjoy 😉

I would rather watch the coaches play walking football in Portugal to be honest.

When it's all over, England will revert to a country that doesn't really care about women's football and the top women's clubs will still be playing in front of a handful of spectators despite the BBC's unrelenting drive to promote the game. Does their weekend news broadcasts tell Celtic's millions of supporters worldwide how they got on at the weekend? No. But we always get a slot about Chelse/ Man C/ Arsenal women etc to inform the handful of those interested. Time they picked a new minority sport to promote. How about Shinty?

I've noticed a big improvement of how the women are now controlling the ball.

No, when it’s over, England won’t “revert” to anything - the people who already enjoyed women’s football will continue to do so, and some percentage of those who enjoyed the euros will take more of an interest. It’s a growing sport.

One of my colleagues at work reckons it's not proper football . He was giving off about some tv pundit comparing one girls goal scoring record to that of Jimmy Greaves record . He said it was like comparing apples and pears . Personally , I'll watch it now and again but to be honest I'm not really that interested in it .

FYI, WSL live games are shown on Sky Sports this season,BBC obviously promote WSL too, but big financial investment this season to promote the Women's game, and what better way to promote the game to the wider audience and the young girls sitting at home, than winning The Euros at Wembley in front of a sell out crowd and 10 Million viewers watching at home.
There will always be haters who like to hate, which is fine, we are all entitled to voice our views, but for people who love football and love their country, Sunday is a great occasion to put your pride aside and cheer on The Lionesses as they do the country proud.

The 8-0 against Norway was good fun, but last night felt like a much more satisfying win. Looking forward to the final.

Don't know why there'd have to be some sort of purity test for how interested you are in a sport outside of major tournaments. I don't watch track cycling unless it's Olympics time but get into it once it's on.

England have been brilliant so far and play really fun football to boot. 2 euros finals at Wembley in 2 years is pretty astonishing for a country that is consistently terrible at international football.

14 million people watched the game.

Hardly an unwilling country being dictated to by the Beeb.

9 million actually, but I'm not denying that a lot of people are watching England do well in a tournament. But how many of those will watch another women's game before the next big tournament rolls round? Meanwhile the BBC will continue to give the women's club sides big coverage, and in reality, hardly anyone is interested

Yes, if there’s one thing that’s a problem in this country, it’s the fact that there’s not enough coverage of men’s football because all the resources are allocated to the women’s game

The one thing that the somewhat misogynistic Orient fans have missed, is the extremely high proportion of women supporters of this female game. Whilst English men invented the rules of this sport, I'm afraid they don't hold monopoly rights. You get a fair proportion of women at the the male genre. But considering the high degree of commercialisation, it is not very big. Could it be the drunken, loud-mouthed, foul mouthed, often violent male supporters who put them off. Then there are some of the players of the same ilk. Maybe if you don't like the female version of the sport you are better off sticking to the more "sophisticated brand ".

Good game last night. The Germans deserved to win, so we can now expect them to beat us on penalties in the final.
