Yea I’ve seen a few bits on him. Been offered at Swindon, Crawley and some League 1 clubs apparently too.

Would be really disappointing if we missed the opportunity to integrate more players pre season.

We need a first choice CDM, definitely.

We have Theo, Ruel and Georgiou to play left wing. We don't need a LW. Could probably do with a RW though, as only have Smyth and Drinnan to play there.

We have Drinnan and Smith to play the 1 ST role. We don't need another (unless they remain injured, obviously!)

I think Wellens may have fallen into a bit of a trap here. The typical human trait of overestimating one’s own ability and also overestimating the ability he has to change those he has been in contact with. When he come he turned us around and Jacket had us falling through the floor so it would seem a simple case of one manager=good and one rubbish. Not sure I buy that. Kenny has been around a long time and Gallen was impressive. It is more likely, in my opinion, to be a case of the players not being quite good enough and not enough depth in the squad. The squad situation has not been rectified at all. The players clearly like to play for RW hence the turnaround from mid season but I don’t suddenly see us as a top 3 side just on the basis of a new manager only. Tough division this year and right now, a play off place would be a big deal and probably out of our reach.

Theo has been playing RW under RW, as he likes him cutting in on His left foot, which is why I said we need a LW, but RW will do, just need a winger!
I really would not be happy with Drinian and Smith as our No.9’s for the season.
Drinian is our pressing ST and Smith is a bench option at best, a good player if we need to use a target man from the bench.
Again which is why we need a No9 goalscorer.

Give RW the players he identified right at the beginning of his tenure and I'm very confident he'll take us up. If we fall short through lack of depth again the manager can't be blamed again.

TBF Tufty most of us thought Jackett to be a messiah of a manager a year ago, and believed he would at least get us into the play offs.
And TBF up until 7th December things were going fairly well but for some strange reason we stopped scoring goals, James got injured and the rest is history as they say.
Not sure why KJ didn’t work out, we’ve all probably got our own opinions about this.
RW does seem to have a better relationship with the players if that counts for anything.

With only two players coming in and two going out our squad is hardly any stronger than it was last season. I hope our youngsters are as good as they say they are because they are going to need to be.

I suspect Theo is playing on the right mainly because Ruel likes playing on the left.
