Which bit.

The fine not being a criminal offence. I didn’t think it was to be honest. Any legal people on here?
Ukraine not being more important. In my opinion it is.
I'm no lawyer but neither am I an IMBECILE.

It's a criminal offence where the offender has chosen to admit his guilt and pay a fine without the need for disposal in court. HTH
So, when I got fined for speeding I have a criminal record? Didn’t know that. Being worried about that, speeding is not a criminal offence. Despite me pleading guilty, paying a fine and getting three points. The above definition is therefore wrong.
No criminal record. But speeding is
a criminal offence.

If the speeding is excessive it cannot be dealt with by issuing a FPN. A summons to court will follow and if found guilty a criminal conviction will result.

Despicable from the Tories, let's hope SNP leaders and MPs don't stoop so low as to bring the Ukraine situation into their arguments for an independance referendum and Stew can maintain the moral high ground.
Classic whataboutery. Well done.
Classic hypocrisy more like, not to mention him doing the exact same thing he is so outraged about.
I see the Tories have spotted the opportunity to use the Ukraine war as a dating agency. FFS!

Well not according to the websites I used. I looked up speeding and Covid. Maybe those web sites are wrong. I’m happy to be guided to sites that differ.

Reading some of the posts here , one would think it was a Board associated with the Clergy. Almost like posters have never broke a minor rule like dropping litter, illegally parking to nip into a newsagent , nicked a pen from work and so on. Yes it was bad what he did but he never consciously went out to create these breaches, Helen is the PM , he had far more important matters. His PA and the incompetent Civil Servants have a lot to answer for, stitched up he was by Remainer spies in the camp as that is all they have now.

Whether or not it carries a criminal record is IRRELEVANT. They both broke the law. And morally have not a leg to stand on. Of course they should both resign.

The misleading of parliament is the knowing presentation of false information to parliament, a very serious charge in Westminster system parliamentary assemblies. Government ministers who are found to have misled parliament will generally lose their ministerial portfolio.

Just to clarify things to those who think bodge did nothing wrong .

In 1994 the UK parliament's "the knowledge that ministers and civil servants may evade questions and put the best gloss on the facts but will not lie or knowingly mislead the House of Commons is one of the most powerful tools MPs have in holding the executive to account". The committee argued that any minister who was discovered to have knowingly lied to parliament should resign.[6] Intentionally misleading parliament could result in being held in contempt of parliament, however, it is unclear what penalties there would be. The UK parliament has not levied a fine since 1666. As a result, Channel 4 found that "It’s easier to get thrown out of the House of Commons for calling someone a liar than for lying itself."[7]

Blackford is one of the best orators in parliament.
Can't believe anyone would think otherwise.
Johnson really should go now. He disgusts me. He has sullied the office of Prime Minister.

He probably adds to the heating system with his hot air.
He seems to really detest Boris. He was on a roll during the Brexit debates.

There is a new drama on Netflix about the antics of the young Tories at Oxford who are now in government. They are called Libertines but wear the clothes of the Bullington Club. Not seen it but have read the book, Anatomy of a Scandal. 100% modelled on Boris etc
