The geographical area in dispute in history has had various names and rulers.

What upsets me so much to a point of personal distress is;

Rape and then murder of young women.

The murder of men in front of their wives and children then the women is raped or the husband is made to watch the rape and then killed.

The cold brutal shooting in the head with the person told to strip and kneeling down before the murder.

The bombing of hospital etc when the precise locations are known due to electrical calculations.

The shooting of people trying to escape.

My mind cannot take much more of this human carnage as reported.
Nearly all of the above is a feature of most wars, so is it any wonder that people flee to seek refuse elsewhere. Taking what they can with them on long and dangerous journeys, but never leaving behind the horrors they witnessed and the mental trauma that will forever live with them. Most, over 85% find this in a neighbouring country. Others who have links to other countries, through family, language or a colonial or familiar past seek refuse in other countries. The majority find sanctuary, a tiny proportion who wish to seek refuse in a country that cares nothing about their plight and make it difficult to enter but eventually reach it are sent to Rwanda.

I note that DP World, the P&O Ferries owners, are big investors in Rwanda and especially the port of Kigali. I'm unsure though if there are any recycling facilities at their refuse plants.

I also note that the Apartheid state of Israel used to dump asylum seekers in Rwanda but had to stop as it was a failed plan.

This plan won't go ahead. Its just raw meat for the racists to chew on before the local elections and to draw attention away from the criminal activities of Johnson and his govt, including the civil servants.

Pretty much this, but with one minor difference.

The plan WILL go ahead, at least insofar as they sign a very lucrative contract with a "friendly" service provider to actually carry out the work. The contract will be written in such a way as that provider gets paid multiple millions on pounds regardless of how many (if any) actual humans are transported. Then the plan will be shelved, and the blame attached to "campaigning lawyers" who don't know their place.

Country's f*cked.

As the Sun is a very reliable source and Putin has never misled anyone we can accept it is propaganda.

What is the point in absolutely destroying an area you want to take over? Turning it into a radioactive wasteland would be even more idiotic.

To be fair I believe he is only going to use the weapon strategically to bring an end to the war. There will plenty of unaffected land to conquer.

A message from the Slovakian President. Why do we get the likes of Johnson when the Slovak Republic and Finland get their leaders?

I'm being completely superficial.

I mean, if we have to put up with them, they could at least be a bit easier on the eye than this:

Because the Conservatives won a majority.

May I say you are being rather sexist and not ‘PC?’

Guardian article by: Angus Roxburgh: former BBC Moscow correspondent and consultant to the Kremlin.

"By providing arms but avoiding military intervention western leaders are prolonging this hideous conflict. Talks are the best way out"

Saw that earlier. The Guardian is free to allow different points of view to be expressed in its Comment is Free section, but I think the argument put forward by Angus is bollocks.

They're also cutting off the gas to Poland, which I guess will knock onto our prices. Wont need heating if they nuke us anyway.

Ahh Roxburgh the former PR advisor to Putin, I'm sure he has Ukraine best interests in mind

Still, with a CV like that coupled with the Stop the war coalition, Corbyn et all line, I'm sure it'll get the Guardian some clicks

This whole thing is getting ridiculous. Threat and counter threat.
We need to have some incentive to bring Putin to the table for peace talks
We ( The West ), need to give Putin an ultimatum, either come to the table, or we're getting involved, directly in the war (Special Operations).
Troops on the ground, artillery etc etc.
And if Putin thinks we won't, then we do.
Eventually, we will have to confront Putin, and all we're doing is kicking the can down the road

He's not wrong. It is vital to stop the war and that can only be done through talks where everything is on the table for discussion. Otherwise America and NATO fight on until the last Ukrainian.
