Coleman will be ok. A big step up from the standard he was playing. I’m not sure he is a centre back personally but I think with a bit of time, a pre season and hopefully a team not fighting relegation then he’ll be a decent member of the squad.

Coleman is 22. Hector is 20. Hector is the one with time on his side.RedDwarf 1881 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 1:26 am I’ve watched Coleman play and he’s no different from Kyprianou except Hector is a bit better. OK, Coleman has time on his side to improve
I think we’re getting caught up over Coleman unnecessarily. As others have said, I think he might turn out to be ok. The problem was we needed someone in there who was ok NOW.
We have Hector, Young, Popadapolous all trying to stake a claim in the first team CM positions. We now have Coleman and Brown to add to the mix. That’s bonkers.

And no way is Coleman a CB. Not strong enough or fast enough.

That's what I don't really understand . We already had young central midfielders to develop into good players so why did we need two more . What we really needed during January was one or two players from the higher leagues to get our season back on track. Instead we probably spent more money bringing in five sub standard players which resulted in us flirting with relegation .The club definitely went for quantity over quality . I think our budget was probably big enough but Jackett and the transfer committee made too many mistakes. Hopefully Richie Wellens is wiser with the budget next season.Gary the Plumber wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 9:13 amColeman is 22. Hector is 20.
