Rishi Sunak is coming under attack from political rivals over his wife's stake in an Indian multinational operating in Russia.
Labour said the chancellor has "very serious questions to answer" over Akshata Murty's shares in Infosys, a firm co-founded by her father.

Maybe they have employment rights and had to give notice and such?
At least they were not like P&O.

Re: Tory Watch
Excuse my cynicism but do you really believe an IT firm shutting an office is going to stop them trading in Russia? Setting up new trading arrangements is probably why it took so long. Follow the money.tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 6:55 pm https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-60952063

More ‘anti Brexit’ propaganda
We have left The EU, try getting used to it. I went to parts of Europe few weeks ago, seemed easier going there and back than it was before we left. Nothing has changed.

Also: where is your logic in "easier going there and back" but "nothing has changed"?

Re: Tory Watch
I watched on full before I posted . The authors are activists from Greenpeace and Ant-Brexit associations whose sole purpose is to attack the Tories and the PM in particular for getting Brexit done. Sour grape and lemon suckers who despise the Tories in a ‘James O’Brien’ bigoted way.E10EU wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 10:01 amAlways useful to watch a link before commenting! Like I say it was easier going through the Eurostar Terminals there and back, no quieter in the Alps, the French appreciate the custom and we are now free from EU Bureaucracy . I know you worship the EU but you should try and let go as we will not be going back .

Re: Tory Watch
Another Tory apologist (or an Alias pretending to be one - which is worse tbh). Either way, pretty pathetic to be painting a positive picture about a Tory government who have overseen a meteoric rise in the number of food banks, and energy price increases which have made life almost untenable for the poor. A National disgrace.

We live in a democracy, we are not in Russia. The Government were elected by the population and the public voted to leave the European Union like they elected to Remain in .BoniO wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 1:27 pm Another Tory apologist (or an Alias pretending to be one - which is worse tbh). You will have an opportunity to vote at the next election. If your chosen party other than Tories are elected , I will respect the result and not resort to calling those who did not vote Tory ‘Fools. Idiots, misguided’ etc.
If you do not like Democratic systems you can move to a Country ruled by Despots and Dictators.

It is the system we have. Proportional Representation leads to instability affecting the economy , campaign for it as you can do if you feel so aggrieved as you democratically can. The Tories are not perfect but have been in power longer in the past 100 years. We have a good country which is why millions want to be here by any means.

Re: Tory Watch
Seems so but all declared as if was anything they could sling at PM they would have done so instead of boring ‘party gate’. Reality is all feathering nests and I honestly believe some are so clueless as to the consequences. Barry Gardener seems a decent enough man and I cannot believe he had any criminal intent accepting 500 k from a Chinese Agent. Labour have the support of the Unions which has always thwarted their support .tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 2:30 pmA fractured systemDextercoindexter wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 2:02 pmIt is the system we have.
