Re: Dave Challinor
Were you complaining about us hiring Kenny Jackett when he took over? And weren't you one of those screaming for an experienced manage for most of last season?

Didn't we thump his old club 5-0 ?
I'm pretty sure he has only won against us in the trophy final .

And Ling took 2 attempts to appoint him - if you believe that Ling solely appoints managers......WickfordO wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 3:22 pmAren't you missing someone in that list? Re: Dave Challinor
youve only got to choose 6 numbers . picking a manager is far more difficult &getting the one to win it all makes the odds even higher .Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 4:23 pmDifferent ball game and the lottery is a lot higher odds at getting a winner !tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 4:10 pmIf you win the lottery it does sid .Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 4:06 pm

Different ball game and the lottery is a lot higher odds at getting a winner !
1-59
So the odds are calculated thus
59×58x57x56x55x54
Manager possibilities
100 people apply for the job let's say 25 % aren't qualified & 15% want to much money
The odds of picking the right one are
60x59x58x57x56x55x54x53all the way down to an including x1
The lottery has only 6 possibilities & have fixed values .
Managers & clubs & players all have to match up to win (get lucky)
There is no guarantee that any of those 60 or the 100 would be the winning combination ie
Brian clough Leeds Rafael benitez Everton Ken Knighton Orient sam allardyce West Bromley.
Hope you see it now Sidney

Re: Dave Challinor
Odds on winning the first prize in the Euro lottery, well punters only have a 1 in 139,838,160 chance of bagging the top prize. The mind boggles, so extremely lucky if you happen to bag the big first prize !tuffers#1 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 8:50 amAm I ? Re: Dave Challinor
So the club should do the lottery, win the Jackpot and then they could afford a decent manager.
