Hartlepool fans at today's match
Firstly, lovely result today, well done Orient, against a - what I thought - were a good Hartlepool side.
What impressed me a lot was the fact that the Hartlepool fans sang ( and banged a drum ) throughout the whole game, even though their team were getting a thorough tonking .
Well done to you all for coming all the way down to Brisbane Road -all 600 odd of you- and getting behind your team even as things got steadily worse, you sang right to the 90th minute...
You're a credit to the team you support.

Was it a fiver for them too? Hope it was.
Think they have a quite big London supporters club so a relatively easier trip for some of them.

The ones I was chatting to in the SC came from London and Colchester. But no doubt many made the long trip and had a miserable trip home. (Been there, done that, got the tee shirt, hate it). Great support wherever they travelled from.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 8:54 pm Was it a fiver for them too? Hope it was.

They seem to be a decent group of fans who have been starved of sucess
over the years . Loyal bunch like our lot & good to see

They went out the EFL with us, and it’s good to see them back, and today excepted are having a decent season on their return.

Re: Hartlepool fans at today's match
I too commend the Hartlepool fans for their loyalty. But as far as I'm concerned the banging on a drum throughout the whole 90 minutes was a pain in the arse. It drowned out the whole atmosphere of the game.

I was in the Shakespeare in Bethnal before the match and a mob of them were having a booze in there. Had a good chat with some of their fans. Really nice bunch.

Agree about the drum. Too much right through the game spoils it for me.
